You are a "politician". I am a "humanitarian". I see death and destruction where you see America holding onto its failing empire. You are also of the breed of Americans who thrive on violence - as long as it is not in America, killing little American children I presume. I am not a Christian, but I do follow Jesus' basic teachings. One says, "love one another". I also figured that Jesus didn't like us killing little ones in the name of empire.
Iraq is a totally destroyed nation. Americans like you saw to that. Bombed the c..p out of her, didn't you. And the "insurgents", Derrick, are actually "freedom fighters". At least I think that's what you'd call them if Russia, for instance, decided to bomb America and some Americans rose up and fought back?
I only glanced through the pages upon pages you wrote. I may print these pages off and actually read them right through. It does you good to read how other people think. But if this is "being political", I want no part of it.
Your demigod Bush is loathed by many Americans and most people around the world. But you don't really care, do you. Your country has killed millions upon millions of people all around the world in the name of empire, and you can only see the "politics" of it all. That is sad. And evil.
I went to Layla Anwar's blog and found she'd attached a YouTube video of Bush being welcomed by Israeli children. Like Layla suggested, I wanted to throw up.
Here's the link <http://www.arabwomanblues.blogspot.com/>
I read an “interesting” scientific study the other day.
According to American scientists - and you can trust Americans to come up with such findings – humans crave violence as much as sex. The urge is as strong and as natural, so it seems.
The findings were “conclusive evidence" based on experiments on rats. Must have been American rats, for sure.
Yes, America including its “intelligentsia” is plagued with violence.
It is a violent society and the ethos of violence is what rules it. Violence in the streets, in the job market, at home, in relationships, in sports and in politics...
Violence has many levels and many faces. You can find the whole gamut in the USA. They are experts in violence and they are proficient in exporting it to the four corners of the globe. A package of Coke, McDonald, Disney and Violence.
I personally do not agree with this biological determinism, even though, I do concede that America and Israel have not moved beyond primitive, base instincts...
For example, an experience I had today shows that violence is not endemic to the human mind, and it is not a natural state as these "scientists" argue.
I was in a cab and we were stuck in a long traffic jam. Next to me was a school minibus full of children. They were staring out of the window. So was I.
I engaged them. I made clown faces to them, stuck my tongue out and grimaced...
They giggled, and stuck their tongues out at me, contorting their faces, and pulling their ears in mockery...
We kept at this play for a while. The taxi driver thought I was nuts. The kids loved it and so did I. It was pure joy. We laughed across the window, and then waved goodbye as the traffic finally eased up.
I saw no violence in their eyes, no malice, no craving to inflict hurt.
Today, children were playing in the streets of Gaza, scores were rushed to hospital with blood pouring out of their little limbs, heads, eyes and nose...Israel bombed Gaza again.
40 dead, 100 injured and out of the 100, 45 were children. 45 children not older than 10, soaked in blood. Their own.
They interviewed a little one, about 6, with a bandaged head and the poor little thing was stuttering, with his face swollen up, and his eyes moist with tears...
He said “I was playing with my friends, and the bombs fell on us...they wanted to kill me."(they = Israelis, who else?!)
Yes you are right little one, they wanted to kill you.
They and the Americans are flip sides of the same coin. They grow, thrive and prosper on violence.
Their philosophy is like that of the American “scientists." They believe that the urge to kill and maim is as natural as making babies. But with a slight difference.
Maybe you will understand it better when you grow up, but I think you already know.
You already know that for them, Americans and Israelis, their philosophy can be summed up in one sentence - I can only live if you die.
I can only find security by killing you.
I can only prosper by impoverishing you.
I can only multiply by committing genocide against you.
I can only become strong, If I weaken you. . And I can only find peace and happiness when I wipe you out and you are no longer.
I am sure little one, you know all of that...I am not teaching you anything new here. You probably also heard that Israel’s better half - America has produced 5 million orphaned children in Iraq. In Baghdad alone, 500’000 of them live in the streets in total destitution.
This is their way of liberating you and them.
The baby killers of Democracy and Human rights. The baby killers of Freedom.
But there is something you may have not realized yet. And I am going to let you onto that secret, little one.
These people are doomed. The Americans and the Israelis, government and people are doomed. They are spiritually bankrupt and morally corrupt...and they are doomed.
You will also realize that even though they oppress, violently oppress, they are also oppressing themselves.
They are killing themselves and they know it not. They are eradicating every fiber of humanness inside of themselves, and they have become like those rats in the laboratory.
They have managed to transform themselves into monsters, forsaking everything for “Self.”
They call it self preservation, self nurture, self growth...Do not believe those lies.
Their Self is like a empty hole, a bottomless hole, an abyss...They have no Self.
Little do they realize how dark it is all around them.
Little do they realize...
But you and I know it.
And through our common pain and struggle, we also know that they have not ceased digging their own graves.
You remember those swings? Remember when it goes up it also goes down? Same with them.
Remember the merry-go-round ? Remember how you can get dizzy when it spins? They are hideous rats on a merry-go-round. They spin and spin and will fall from their own violence.
My words may not be of great consolation to you or your little Iraq friends. They may not soothe you right now. I know, your head and face are hurting and you just want the pain to go away...
So I will whisper it again in your ears as you are fighting to find some rest, as you are struggling to run away from your nightmares...from your terror, Their terror, they the “teghoghists”
I will murmur it to you, gently, soflty...little one, until you find some peaceful sleep, if you can.
They will NOT last.
P.S. For those who would like to watch Bush in a blue tie, with Shimon Peres in a blue tie, standing in front of the Blue and White flag of Shalom land, listening to doves of peace singing, click here <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ErqgRrm4Nn4&NR=1> . But I warn you, this video may give you strong urges, one of which is to violently vomit. Keep a bucket handy next to you, just in case. And by the way, Shimon Peres has had a face lift, he thinks he will live till Eternity...hahahahaha. Go to her site and get the link Derrick. I am sure you will thoroughly enjoy it. Then dwell, just for a minute, on the million dead Iraqis, Afghanis and Palestinians, the millions of wounded Iraqis etc, the displaced Iraqis, etc. Just for minute. I don't think it will effect your soul too much. You have sold it to the devil that is called "politics" and which brings only death and destruction to those you want out of the empire's way. Daphne

Boy, you must live watching this site and throwing your bit in. So fast. Not a particularly elevated response Derrick. I am sure you can do better than that. Or hadn't you learned that socialism, communism, democratism, you name it, are all just "isms", designed to keep the "divide and rule" thing going? I despise Hillary Clinton, just as I despise Bush. Did you watch the You Tube video of Bush I gave you above, with Shimon Peres - being serenaded in the country to which his allegiance truly lies? I think you should. I'm sure it would bring tears of joy to your eyes. Here's a LONG article that you won't enjoy from Global Research: America's "Divide and Rule" Strategies in the Middle East By Mahdi Darius Nazemroaya URL of this article: <www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=7816> Global Research, January 17, 2008 The Presidential Tour of George W. Bush to the Middle East: A New Cold War? In 1946, Winston Churchill delivered his “Iron Curtain” speech in Missouri that helped set the rhetorical stance for the rivalry between the two camps or poles respectively formed by the Soviet Union and the United States after the Second World War. Starting in 2006, the Middle East has been depicted in a similar way by the White House and 10 Downing Street. In the end, history will decide and give its verdict on the miniature version of the Cold War now unfolding in the Middle East. It is no secret that the 2008 presidential tour of George W. Bush Jr. to the Middle East is more about rallying hostility and antagonism against Iran and those forces resisting Washington’s political and socio-economic curriculum for the Middle East. The U.S. President’s tour is part of an exhorted effort to replace Israel with a vilified Iran as a looming threat to the Arab World. This undertaking which is part of America’s Project for a “New Middle East” was initiated after Israel’s war against Lebanon in July of 2006. Balkanization and the Muslim Divide: Shiite Muslims versus Sunni Muslims In relationship to the preparations for creating the “New Middle East” there have been attempts, with partial success, to deliberately create divisions within the populations of the Middle East and Central Asia through ethno-cultural, religious, sectarian, national, and political differentiations. Aside from fuelling ethnic tensions, such as those between Kurds and Arabs in Iraq, a sectarian divide is being deliberately cultivated within the ranks of the people of the Middle East which consider themselves Muslims. This divide is being fostered between Shiite and Sunni Muslims. These divisions have been fuelled by the U.S., British, and Israeli intelligence apparatus. The intelligence agencies of Arab regimes within the Anglo-American orbit have also been involved in the construction of these divisions. This divide is also being cultivated with the help of various groups and leaders in these respective communities. Before the 2003 invasion of Iraq, the rulers of the Arab League countries were aware that the U.S. and Britain intended to redraw the borders of the Middle East. It was openly mentioned at the summit of Arab rulers being held in Egypt prior to the Anglo-American invasion. The interests of many of the corrupt Arab elites, the self-proclaimed cream of the crop within the Arab World, and autocratic Arab authorities have historically convened and adhered to Anglo-American and Franco-German political and socio-economic interests. The House of Saud, the Hariri clan of Lebanon, and the absolute rulers established throughout the Arab World all share common financial and economic links with the Project for the “New Middle East.” They have a vested interest in the promotion of the economic and political model that the U.S. wishes to entrench in the Middle East. The “Shia Crescent” and the Phantom Iranian Conquest of the Middle East To create hostility within the Muslim populations of the Middle East, Iran is being portrayed as the vanguard of Shia or Shiite expansionism in the region, vis-à-vis the so-called “Shia Crescent,” and Saudi Arabia portrayed as the champion of the Sunni Muslims. The truth of the matter is that Iran does not represent all the Shiite Muslims nor does Saudi Arabia represent all the Sunni Muslims; these efforts are part of the politicizing of religious faith, which serves U.S. foreign policy goals. It also contributes to misleading public opinion throughout the Middle East. This animosity between peoples of Muslim faith and the populations of the Middle East has been created to justify animosity against Iran and those perceived to be in the same camp as Iran, such as Syria and Hezbollah. Arab leaders also have an easier time controlling their populations when they are fighting against each other and are consequently weakened as a result of sectarian and ethnic divisions. The latter also create confusion within the various populations, distract them from their problems at home, and projects their animosity towards their leaders on others. Fear or anger towards the “Other” or the “Outsider” has always been a form of manipulating large groups and whole segments of societies. With the peoples of the region divided against each other, their resources can be controlled and they themselves governed and further manipulated with greater ease. This has been part of the objective of British and American foreign policy all along. In this effort, local rulers and foreign forces have been partners. “The Coalition of the Moderate” in the Mid-East and the manipulation of the Arabs “We [Israel] must clandestinely cooperate with Saudi Arabia so that it also persuades the U.S. to strike Iran.” -Brigadier-General Oded Tira, Israeli Military “Do not try to do too much with your own hands. Better the Arabs do it tolerably than that you do it perfectly. It is their war, and you are to help them, not to win it for them.” The historical context of this statement is very significant. This admission was made during the First World War in the Middle East when the British were fighting against the Ottoman Turks with the help of the Ottoman’s rebellious Arab subjects. The Arab’s help was insured through false promises and London’s deception. What was being revealed by this interlocutor of British policy was British forces should not do most the active fighting in the Middle East and let the Arabs fight Britain’s war against the Turks. Revealing the author, these were the words of a man who has been inscribed into the pages of history as a legendary figure and as a hero to the Arabs. In reality he was an agent of British imperialism that misled the Arabs with the help of of corrupt local leaders. His name was Lieutenant-Colonel Thomas Edward Lawrence or, as most people know him, “Lawrence of Arabia.” The 27 Articles of T.E. Lawrence (August 20, 1917) is where these words can be found for all to scrutinize. Thus started the road down to the modern entanglement of the Arab masses to colonial masters and handpicked Western vassals. Some may argue that the British were helping the Arabs gain autonomy, but history shows this to be an absolute lie. London was furthering its own interests and it had been a geo-strategic objective of theirs to divide the Ottoman Empire up regardless of the fact that that there was a war with the Ottomans and the Central Powers. The Sykes-Picot Agreement reveals this as does the creation of British and French mandates in the place of what were supposed to be independent Arab nations. It should also be noted that all the major problems in the Middle East are rooted in this period from the Armenian Genocide, the Kurdish Question, and the Arab-Israeli Conflict, to the issue of Cyprus and the territorial disputes of the Persian Gulf and the Levant. The Arab elites are being marshaled into formation yet again to do the dirty work of foreign powers. Once again, Arab leaders are also accessories to the agenda of foreigners in the Middle East against their own people. Links between the U.A.E. Speeches of Messrs Bush and Blair: Dividing the Mid-East into Camps The “us and them” mentality is being lodged into the mindset of Middle Easterners in regards to themselves. The ancient region is being divided into two camps by the White House and its partners. After the Israeli bombardment of Lebanon in July 2006, Condoleezza Rice the U.S. Secretary of State and others such as Tony Blair started this venture by categorized the Middle East into two groupings. Those in the Middle East that fell into the Anglo-American camp and colluded with Israel were described as “moderates” and “reformers” and as part of what became called the “Coalition of the Moderate.” It is also around this time that the Pentagon announced its plans to arm Israel, Mahmoud Abbas, and the Arab regimes allied to the U.S. and Britain. Those in the Middle East who either opposed foreign intervention and hegemony in the region, either because of their own agenda or because of the right for self-determination, were labeled “extremists” and “rejectionists.” [1] These anti-hegemonic forces in the Middle East were categorized as members of the “other camp” even though in some cases they had no links aside from fighting foreign tutelage. This latter camp includes the Iraqi Resistance, Hamas, and Iran, amongst others. There is an obvious theme in the underlying rhetoric of the December 2006 and January 2008 Middle East policy speeches of Tony Blair and George W. Bush. Both were presented in the U.A.E. and held almost exactly a year apart. Both speeches depict a bloc of radicals in the Middle East led by Iran and both speeches attempt to divide the Middle East into two opposing blocs. It was soon after the disastrous 2006 Israeli war against Lebanon that Tony Blair, in line with Condoleezza Rice, subtly called for “an alliance of moderation in the region and outside of it to defeat the extremists.” [2] While in Dubai the former British prime minister called Iran a “strategic challenge,” which according to Paul Reynolds, an international affairs correspondent, was a replacement for the words “strategic threat” from his original speech read in California. He also replaced the words “trying to acquire a nuclear weapon” with “trying to acquire nuclear weapons capability.” [3] This obvious change in word selection was because the people of the countries living next to Iran know better and would not have taken Tony Blair’s speech seriously. This was simply the beginning of the public revelation of the alliance system that already informally subsisted in the Middle East. Tony Blair’s U.A.E. speech was another stage in the media phase of the war effort that includes the preparation of the general public for confrontation in the Middle East. It was also part of the attempt to turn the conflict into one of ideas and an ideological one like the Cold War. The U.A.E. and Israel as models for the “New Middle East” By the start of 2008, the White House and its allies have ceased their insincere chatter about democratization in the Middle East, except in the case of Iran where it is mentioned ad nauseam. This sidesteps the reality that Iran holds democratic elections and that Iran is a far less inhibited state than any of America’s Arab sponsored regimes. Democracy has never been a goal for the U.S. in the Middle East, especially in regards to its own set of autocratic and dictatorial allies. The White House is promoting two models on two different levels in the Middle East as a part of its regional project. One is the latent model of Israel as a homogenous nation. The second model, which is openly promoted, is the Khaliji (Gulf) model or that of the Arab Sheikhdoms that form the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in the Persian Gulf littoral. The Khaliji model applies in particular to the U.A.E. and one of its seven emirates, Dubai, as its embodiment. Israel is the socio-political model for the Middle East, whereas Dubai is the socio-economic model for the Middle East. Both models also bare staggering social ramifications. The Israeli model, which is being moved forward is not based on any democratic values, quite the opposite. It is predicated on ethnocentrism and discrimination. The Middle East is being reconfigured in Israel’s image as a region with homogenous states and this is evident in Iraq and a reason for the tensions being fanned by foreign influence in the multi-confessional Lebanese Republic. Just as Israel is considered the “Jewish State” the Project for the “New Middle East” wants to establish a whole series of single-identity states in the ancient region. The socio-economic model of Dubai and the GCC is based on a vertical mosaic, in the tradition of John A. Porter’s The Vertical Mosaic: An Analysis of Social Class and Power in Canada, where ethnicity, heredity, and origins play a role in individual status and its system in itself is a reconstruction of the caste system of India. Dubai is a place that is rabid with the exploitation of foreign workers and nationals and is infamous for the institutionalization of gross inequities and immorality. Local laws are made to only benefit the privileged and powerful, while the poor are suppressed. Money laundering and prostitution are also far spread in Dubai and the U.A.E. is a modern Sodom and Gomorrah. Israel, NATO, and the Arab Regimes: A Nexus against Resistance The House of Saud and Saudi Arabia have emerged as the main force in configuring a public embracement between Israel and the Arab World under the auspices of the 2002 Arab Initiative. [4] This Saudi-proposed initiative is deeply tied to the Project for a “New Middle East” and allows Israel to integrate its economy with that of the Arab World and allows for the creation of an alliance between Israel and the Arab regimes against any forces in the Middle East resisting America, its allies, and more importantly their political and socio-economic model. Despite King Abdullah’s speech in Riyadh during the March 2007 Arab League Summit, Saudi Arabia has officially opposed any end to the Anglo-American occupation of Iraq and the withdrawal of foreign troops from Iraq under the pretext that the Iraqi Shiites and the Iranians will kill the Iraqi Sunnis. A representative of the Saudi Monarchy, quoting Prince Turki Al-Faisal, informed the U.S. press that, “Since America came into [meaning invaded] Iraq uninvited, it should not leave [end the Anglo-American occupation] uninvited,” and rhetorically added that “If it [the U.S.] does [withdraw its troops from Iraq], one of the first consequences will be a massive Saudi intervention to stop Iranian-backed Shia militias from butchering Iraqi Sunnis.” [5] Israel has always considered the leaders of Jordan as important assets and allies to pacify the Arabs. On April 18, 2007 King Abdullah II of Jordan reconfirmed this publicly known Israeli secret. King Abdullah II told a visiting Israeli delegation that Jordan and Israel were allies, emphasizing that he not only spoke for the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan but for Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and the Arab Sheikdoms of the Persian Gulf. [6] The Jordanian King narrated to Dalia Itzik, Acting Israeli President, Tzachi Hanegbi, the Chairman of the Israeli Foreign Affairs and Defence Committee, and other Israeli officials that “we [Arab rulers and Israel] are in the same boat; we have the same problem [the forces of resistance in the region]. We have the same enemies [Syria, Iran, the Palestinians, and Lebanon].” [7] It is worth noting that the Saudi government and the Arab leaders of Egypt, Jordan, and the Arab Sheikdoms of the Persian Gulf were fully involved, covertly and/or overtly, in the 1991 Gulf War and in the 2003 Anglo-American invasion of Iraq. These rulers also played major roles in the Iraq-Iran War and the economic warfare against Iraq which prodded Iraq into invading Kuwait for economic relief after its bitter war with Iran. Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Jordan are all firmly in the Anglo-American camp. They are part of the extended international military network controlled by the United States. They are already members of the coalition that has been formed against Iran, Syria, and those forces that have allied themselves with Tehran and Damascus. [8] To varying degrees these Arab states are also allied with Israel and NATO. All of these Arab governments that are labeled as “pro-Western” or “pro-American” also have bilateral military and security ties and agreements with the United States or Britain and NATO. However, it is not certain that these states will stay by the side of Washington, D.C. and London. Turning the Mediterranean Sea and the Persian Gulf into NATO Lakes NATO is expanding, but not only in Europe and the former Soviet Union. There have been longstanding plans to turn the Mediterranean into a permanent “NATO lake” and an arena closely linked to the European Union. The Russian naval build-up in the Eastern Mediterranean and off the Syrian coast is a move to challenge this process. Several Arab regimes have had agreements and military arrangements with NATO through NATO’s Mediterranean Dialogue (established in 1995) for over a decade. Amongst them are Egypt and Jordan. These are the Arab nations that border the Mediterranean or are in close proximity to it. While on the other hand, the Arab Sheikhdoms of the Persian Gulf have lately entered into arrangements with NATO. For example, Kuwait recently signed security agreements with NATO and effectively opening the door for NATO entrance into the Persian Gulf. The GCC agreements underway with NATO are effectively an extension of the Mediterranean Dialogue and NATO expansion eastwards. The shift to create a Gulf common market similar to the E.U. and a Mediterranean Union are also linked to NATO expansion and the project to permanently compel the Washington Consensus on the Middle East and the Arab World The expansion of a mandate for NATO in the Persian Gulf has been in motion for years and has followed behind NATO’s objectives in the Mediterranean Sea. NATO influence in the Persian Gulf effectively allows the area to fall under the joint management of Franco-German and Anglo-American interests. It is no coincidence that Nicholas Sarkozy started his presidential tour of the Middle East in the same window of time as the U.S. President nor is it a twist of fate that France and the U.A.E. signed an agreement on January 15, 2008 allowing France to establish a permanent military base in U.A.E. territory on the shores of the Persian Gulf. [9] The Real Divisions in the Middle East: Indigenous Forces versus Foreign Clients In Palestine, during past demonstrations in 2006, the press reported that small groups of Fatah supporters chanted “Shia, Shia, Shia” in mockery of Hamas because of its political links to Tehran, because Iran is a predominately Shiite Muslim country.[10] This was a dismal sign of the growing animosity that has been inseminated in the Middle East. Yet, it also reflects that the divisions in the Middle East, such as the Shiite-Sunni divide, are manufactured and artificially engineered. Hamas, like Syria, is Sunni Muslim in identity and it is allied with Iran, which is predominately Shiite Muslim. This alliance clearly demonstrates that the real divisions in the Middle East are not based on religious or ethnic affinity or differences. Similarly, in Lebanon the forces of resistance are Muslim, Christian, and Druze and not just Hezbollah or Lebanon’s Shiite Muslims as is often described in the Western media. In reality, the regional differences in the Middle East are between the independent and indigenous forces, regardless of religion, politics, and/or ethnicity, in the region and the client forces and governments in the region that serve Anglo-American and Franco-German foreign policy and economic interests. The Resistance Bloc “As Lord Chatham said, when he was speaking on the British presence in North America, he said ‘if I was an American, as I am an Englishman, as long as one Englishman remained on American native soil, I would never, never, never lay down my arms.’” -General Sir Michael Rose, British Army To generalize, the independent and indigenous forces of the Middle East are: .1. Most of the various Palestinian fractions. This included the Palestinian Authority under Hamas before the Mecca Accord and the truce that was reached with Mahmoud Abbas and Fatah; .2. The Lebanese Resistance and National Opposition in Lebanon, which is a combination of Muslims, Druze, and Christians; .3. The Iraqi Resistance, which is a genuine series of diverse peoples’ movements that reflects the will of the Iraqi people(s); .4. Syria; .5. Iran, which is both a rival and the centre of the organized political and state-levels of resistance. People-based Resistance and State-based Resistance The forces of resistance in the Middle East and neighbouring Afghanistan can be classified as being either a peoples’ resistance or being a state-level force of resistance. However, there is a third and hybrid category. Iraq and Afghanistan both purely represent peoples’ resistance movements. Iran and Syria, for whatever rationale (good and bad), represent cases of state-level centres of resistance to the U.S., NATO, and Israel. Sudan also falls into this category. The forces of resistance in Palestine and Lebanon fall in between these two categories as a mixture of state-level and people-based resistance. In close proximity to the Middle East in the Horn of Africa, Somalia is a debatable case, but is also an authentic centre of resistance against foreign control that is linked to the struggle to reconfigure the Middle East. The forces of resistance in Lebanon and Palestine are also distinctive in that they are also locked in internal or domestic struggles between client and co-opted forces serving the Anglo-American, Franco-German, and Israeli agenda in the Middle East. The involvement of a whole nation’s assets is obviously one of the major differences between the state-level centres of resistance, such as Iran, and the peoples’ movements of resistance that is disenfranchised from governing, such as in Iraq. However, wherever there is a greater amount of foreign military subjugation the forces of resistance are stronger and spring from the support of the local populaces. The heavy casualties that the U.S., Britain, and NATO are facing in Iraq and Afghanistan are because of the will of the peoples’ and their resistance. Struggles across the Mid-East: The “Coalition of the Moderate” versus the Resistance Bloc The existing divisions between the independent and indigenous forces of the Middle East and those aligned within the Anglo-American orbit are represented by the following: .1. The struggle between Hamas and its allies with Israel, Fatah, and their allies in the Palestinian Territories; .2. The ongoing struggle between the Iraqi Resistance, which is essentially the Iraqi people, with the U.S. and Coalition forces over the occupation of Iraq; .3. The political face-off between the Lebanese National Opposition (the majority in Lebanon) and the Lebanese governing parties (the minority in Lebanon); .4. The clash over Lebanon, Palestine, and Iraq taking place between Syria and both NATO powers and their Arab clients; .5. And finally the many bitter regional and international rows between Iran and the United States, which includes the Iranian nuclear energy program and Iraq. The Bush Tour: War Drums, Resistance, and the “New Middle East” “One cause of instability is the extremists supported and embodied by the regime that sits in Tehran. Iran is today the world's leading state sponsor of terror. It sends hundreds of millions of dollars to extremists around the world -- while its own people face repression and economic hardship at home. It undermines Lebanese hopes for peace by arming and aiding the terrorist group Hezbollah. It subverts the hopes for peace in other parts of the region by funding terrorist groups like Hamas and the Palestine Islamic Jihad. It sends arms to the Taliban in Afghanistan and Shia militants in Iraq. It seeks to intimidate its neighbors with ballistic missiles and bellicose rhetoric. And finally, it defies the United Nations and destabilizes the region by refusing to be open and transparent about its nuclear programs and ambitions. Iran's actions threaten the security of nations everywhere. So the United States is strengthening our longstanding security commitments with our friends in the Gulf -- and rallying friends around the world to confront this danger before it is too late.” -George W. Bush Jr., 43rd President of the United States (Speech in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates, January 13, 2008) It is no secret that the main purpose of the U.S. presidential tour of the Middle East was to raise opposition against Iran and anyone resisting the “New Middle East.” Almost immediately, Syria claimed that the presidential Middle Eastern tour of George W. Bush Jr. was mostly made to try and further isolate Syria and orchestrate a future war scenario against Iran. [11] The U.S. President’s tour of the Middle East came at a time when the U.S. Navy made false claims about threats being made by Iranian Revolutionary Guard speedboats in the Persian Gulf. After the U.S. Navy withdrew its allegations the U.S. President stated that if any thing negative should happen to U.S. warships in the region it would be Tehran that would be held responsible. At the same time there was a bombing in Beirut that was directed against the American embassy. The bombing in Beirut could have been staged, just as the U.S. Navy’s claims were fictitious, to justify the U.S. President’s position against Iran and the Resistance Bloc. In addition, reports were released from Israel about an Iranian-made rocket being fired from the Gaza Strip by the Palestinians during the U.S. President’s tour of the Middle East. In 2007, the Syrian President while in Deir ez-Zor, on the eve of an important conference on Iraq in Sharm el-Sheikh in which Condoleeza Rice publicly initiated contact with the foreign ministers of Syria and Iran, warned his countrymen that “Syria, the Arab region and the Middle East are going through a dangerous period. Destructive colonial projects are seeking to divide and reshape our region creating a new Sykes-Picot [Agreement].” [12] Abdel Al-Bari Atouani, a noted Palestinian figure and the editor-in-chief of the Al-Qods Al-Arabi in London, warned in a televised interview with ANB TV in early-February, 2007 that the U.S. is exploiting the Arab countries through their governments as the firewood to wage a war against Iran and its allies in the Middle East. The Jerusalem Post, in sequence with the U.S. President’s arrival in Saudi Arabia from the U.A.E., released statements from an unnamed senior Palestinian official from the West Bank claiming that “Syria and Iran have stepped up their efforts to overthrow Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and his ruling Fatah party.” [13] The claims were compiled by Khaled Abu Toameh and also brought to light the political gathering of a large array of Palestinian political parties (referred to by Abu Toameh as “radical groups”) that will be hosted by the Syrians in Damascus. Not surprisingly, Khaled Abu Toameh’s article failed to point out that the Palestinian government running the West Bank is illegitimate and follows the orders of Mahmoud Abbas instead of a popularly elected Palestinian prime minister. The Palestinians gathering in Damascus will study ways to make the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) more inclusive and representative of mainstream Palestinian desires instead of the edicts of Mahmoud Abbas and a few other individuals that run portions of the West Bank as personal fiefdoms with Israel and the White House as their overlords. In Lebanon, a newspaper affiliated with the Hariri family and its political allies also started to toe the American-led campaign line to demonize Iran. An-Nahar, the newspaper once edited by the slain Lebanese parliamentarian Gebran Tueni, stated in an opinion piece by Ali Hamade that the Arab League must pressure Tehran for a settlement in Lebanon and it is in Iran that the path lies to a Lebanese settlement or towards confrontation “if developments [in the Middle East] headed towards a confrontation with the Iranian imperial agenda for the Arab East.” The Oval Office, the Establishment, and Anglo-American Foreign Policy in the Middle East U.S. and British foreign policies are more about the objectives of the Anglo-American establishment than the distinctiveness of the individuals that hold the office of American president and British prime minister. This reality has been confirmed in the course of the election campaign by the potential successors of George W. Bush Jr., Democrats and Republicans alike. Aside from a few individuals who represent the true aspirations of the American people, the majority of presidential contenders in the U.S. are talking about a virtual continuation of the military policies of the Bush Jr. Administration. John McCain has talked about attacking Lebanon and Syria. [14] Hilary Clinton wants a permanent occupation of Iraq or a “post-occupation phase” as U.S. officials decadently call it and she has threatened Iran. Rudy Giuliani, the former mayor of New York City, has made it clear he intends to mirror the Bush Jr. Administration and that he does not intent to recognize a Palestinian state and that he would use nuclear weapons against a non-nuclear Iran. The era of wars will not be over with the departure of George W. Bush Jr. and Vice-President Cheney from the White House. The problem is deeper and more complicated than the persona of one man and his cabinet. George W. Bush Jr. is only a figurehead in the mechanisms of a larger machine; he represents the establishment but he alone or his cabinet do not steer the helm of U.S. foreign policy. Important Questions: The Nature of Cooperation and Rivalry between America, Iran, and Syria Our reality is a far more complicated one. Once upon a time, before coming to power, Hamas used to collaborate with Israel against Yasser Arafat’s Fatah. The Christian Science Monitor made a good point in an article by Marc Lynch: “‘Everywhere you turn, it is the policy of Iran to foment instability and chaos,’ Defence Secretary Robert Gates warned Gulf dignitaries in Bahrain last month [December, 2007]. But in reality, everywhere you turn, from Qatar to Saudi Arabia to Egypt, you now see Iranian leaders shattering longstanding taboos by meeting cordially with their Arab counterparts.” [15] In fact the Iranian President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, was invited to the important GCC Summit in the Qatari capital, Doha, which discussed the economic integration of the Persian Gulf and GCC-Iranian cooperation. Iran, Oman, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia also were making public shows of drawing closer even before the gathering in Doha, which included military and economic agreements between Oman and Iran. Cairo and Tehran have also publicly opened the door for the full normalization of diplomatic relations. What develops in Egyptian-Iranian relations is yet to be seen. Iran is also making further economic and commercial inroads into both Iraq and Afghanistan. Iran and Syria are also linking their energy infrastructure with Iraq and also taking steps that undeniable assist the U.S. in Anglo-American occupied Iraq. The nomination of General Michel Sulaiman as the next Lebanese president has also been called a co

continued... The nomination of General Michel Sulaiman as the next Lebanese president has also been called a concession to Syria for its cooperation with the U.S. in Iraq and even for its attendance at the Annapolis Summit. However, if this is so then there are unanswered questions not only about Syrian-American cooperation, but about the meeting between David Welch, the U.S. Under-Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, and General Sulaiman before the fighting between Fatal Al-Islam and the Lebanese Army erupted in 2007. It is clear that there is an agenda to redraw the borders of the Middle East in order to institute lasting economic policies that benefit Anglo-American and Franco-German interests, along with their Israeli bulldog in the Middle East. The Syrians and the Iranians are well aware of the plans to divide their home region and to play the peoples of the Middle East against one another. Tehran and Damascus too have been guilty of playing the same game for their own interests, but what America and its allies envision is a far broader partition and reconfiguration of the Middle East, which also places Syria and Iran in the sights of this historic struggle. The question here is: are these efforts to divide the Middle East (into “moderates” and “radicals”) part of a policy of containment, a war strategy, or something far more sinister? The intentions of people-based resistance movements like those of the Iraqi Resistance are simple and mostly clear, but state-based resistance — if it can really be called that — is often ambivalent in its intent. Are Iran and Syria genuinely resisting the “New Middle East” which in the end serves the Washington Consensus? The ongoing economic reforms including the privatization programs in both Iran and Syria suggest that these countries are not totally opposed to the dominant neo-liberal agenda, which characterises Washington’s expansionary policies. [16] It is no sin to question motives, especially when circumstances call for it, but it is a sin and a crime to mislead the masses. As developments in the Middle East unfold, the political stance of Iran and Syria will become clearer. YOU SAID THIS??? "So, I take it, in stead of praying to Jesus, you are praying to Saint Saddam, and are abosultely disgusted with the surge success against your freedom fighters that support the 3000 dead civies in NY, and just digusted with the 7% GDP Iraqi economic growth rate, and all that Iraqi new found democracy and hope crap, and the sedation of the Sunnies, and their fight against Al Queda, your pals, and are just furious with the 20% increase in Iraqi oil revenues?" For crying out loud. Iraq had NOTHING to do with 9/11. More likely it was Israel (a lot of evidence suggests this) in cahoots with some of your own leaders... 9/11 was in inside job. Didn't you know??? Al Quaeda is a CIA invention. Didn't you know? Now I see why this chat room has such low attendances. I tried to match you with LONG posts. You can't win. Now I give up. Good night.

Al Quaeda is a CIA invention. Didn't you know? ==== I missed that one when watching the Borne ULTIMATUM on the airplane. ON THE FLOOR!!! === Many details can be construed various ways, and many miss steps can occur, I dismiss that level of analysis, with such passion as you. But what I do, is look at the big picture trends, without much passion for the day to day events. And honesty, like a bull market, there are corrections, in the trend, but it seems very clear to me, and should be undeniable, that over the long term, the direction is clear, the global confluence marches on. ===== You probably do have a warm heart, with a sympathic passion. Brutality is not nice, be it the action or the reaction, when push comes to shove. But the opposing forces in play push against each other continuously, one more dominant than the other, at times, and like in arm restsling match, at times going back and forth, I see an over all direction, and I see the long term trend, the global confluence, and propose why it is, basic humanity of greed, freedom, spirituality, and yes, compassion all driving human cultural evolution. And here, in this thread, I am trying to point out various events and motivations that evinces that trend and that reason. You may call evil if you wish, your judgment, and I will let you have it, but nonetheless, it is what it is. ==== Good Night, Sweet Dreams ===== President Putin, January 19 2008 Drazyuietcha, C Novem Godem, I have just come back from my three week visit in Vladivostok, and had a wonderful time visiting Russia, as I always do, and meeting good friends. I am continuously impressed with the improvement in the Russian economy, the people have money to spend, stores are full, construction is everywhere, it looks and feels great!. You have done very very well for Russia as President, as I have seen with my own eyes. I send you the following memo, not to show any disrespect for you, as I admire your leadership in Russia, but think you should have an honest appraisal from one who really wishes you, Mr. Medvedeva, Russia, and the Russian people all the best in the years to come. ========= Putin's Absolute Rule There was the NKVD, Stalin's henchmen, who, on orders from Stalin's, executed in 1940 the polish intelligencia, fearing they would oppose soviet occupation and domination, including 61000 people of which 15000 were civilian professionals and the polish elite, and 9000 Polish Army officers, 4800 of which were found by the Nazi in 1943 in a mass grave in the Katyn Forest in Eastern Poland. Then we had the KGB, Kruchev-Brezhnev's Boys who kept an eye on Eastern Europe, during which OUR PAL PUTIN, got his training. Now we have the FSB, the Russian Federation Secret Bureau under control of Moscow and that means Putin in fact and concurrently soon Medvedia by law. The stink of course was the assassination of the KGB spy, with poloium, purportedly done by the Russians under orders from Moscow. I don’t really have a problem with a sovereign government ordering the assassination of a spy turn-coat, the problem of course, was that the deed was done on British soil, with London in a fuss and demanding extradition of the alleged assassin, with Moscow refusing, of course, and in retribution to the extradition clamor, the Russians are shutting down British-Counsel offices, one of which was the recently targeted one in Ekatrinburg, east of Moscow, and all of which are purportedly cultural exchange offices, teaching English and Western Culture to Russians, the charges being alleged trump up charges of tax evasion, and alleging its a spy front, as Putin attempts to apparently silence non-government organization (NGOs), particularly foreign ones, from operating in Russia, and meddling in Russia's internal affairs. This is kind of like Nixon's "outside agitators" operating on the UC Berkeley campus or others in the early 70s. The difference of course is that Nixon was a War President, and Putin is not, and so, the justifications for sensorship does not seem apparent in Russia. What do they have to loose, with free speech, by anyone, I ponder continuously, without result. Maybe PM Brown should follow Churchill's then example, and ignore the executions, to preserve the alliance. That is, let it go, to sustain the cultural exchanges, the long term gain, for Russia and the world. I get the over all impression that Moscow, and that means Putin, just does not like the west telling Russia that it needs further reforming and hurting control that may be deemed necessary to keep Russia on track improving its economy. Of course, I have no way of really telling the truth of any of it, from my garage computer. But cultural tendencies are hard to change, and the NKVD set a standard early on, that’s for sure. Of course Putin has done nothing of that nature, but the problem was not the executions per se, but the absolute rule that eventually corrupts absolutely. Who really knows why Moscow is so resistance to absolute free speech, maybe its just cultural, and many Russians just don’t care, anyway. I don’t fully understand them, nor do I really know it all. I doubt if Professor Igor's english book on Russian culture, will explain Putin's motivations satisfactory. So, the mystery will continue. But, with Putin as PM and Medvedeva as President, look out for the good-cop bad-cop routine on the international stage. Medvedeva is perfect as the international polite face man, and I think from Putin's power play perspective was a great choice. I of course will be advising Putin that Stalin's image just aint that great these days, as the world looks in retrospect, on absolute controls. Putin so far has done very well for Russia, and his legacy, is now his to loose in disgrace or cement in glory, in perpetuity. ===== You can't win. Now I give up. ==== This thread is not about winning, or converting, and painting good and evil, but rather about presenting a view of the world, for those interested, and of course, trying to demonstrate that IM NOT an idiot. ==== UN security counsel plus germany are considering new round of sanctions. Hhhmmmm, Bush increase sanctions, puts the heat on the EU (sanctions or blockade), and china pressing Russia, roating bear butt so that Iran is solved by Olypic days, with Russia already giving up the ghost with "we cant protect other countries from American imperialism", and sound a readiness to comply as well. Let hope the sanctions are severe, do the trick, so that Bush wont blockade. But I doubt it though, Iranian theocracy could care less. So, no blockade till at least summer, but maybe during the summer, just in time for the chinese parade. ===== The BBC is liberal and biased so, obviously to anyone with a brain, as they repeat liberal mantra, as if fact, this day inidicated that a crash is occurring in asia and the EU, though 5% off in one day is bad, a crash, nope, that's just the hype, but today indicated that Bush was not doing enough. There they go, slamming Bush at every chance, but heck, why not, in America is a tradition to always target the president, no matter how great, eg the 1861 gorilla. So, lets run the theory. US goes into a recession, no big deal really, we been there and done that many time, and without which, bigger crashes are bound to happen, so recessions let the steam out gently. So recession are mere corrections and could be viewed as positive. Now come the EU, not yet been 3 months since the howls went up about the falling dollar and restraint is needed, now BUSH is draggin his feet, not handing out free money fast enough, to inflat the economy to stave off a recession and tank the global economy. Next China will no doubt come out calling for a full point rate cut. Everywhere in the world, the theme is, HERE AND NOW, I want my economy growing, HERE AND NOW, which can really be translated into, HERE and NOW, and ALWAYS. Fiat money is toast, gold is the bull. World governments are racing to print more fiat, to out print each other, trying to beat competitors to the punch, in the growing trade wars. Here, all are now crying, US just aint printing it fast enough. The world economics are characterized by blatant hiprocacy and the double dutch. All just cant wait for the Bush bail out. ===== Le Patron, The Pump Machine An American Hero? Barry Bonds pumped it up on steroids, got the cheers from the adoring fans for years. Now, he is in disgrace facing perjury charges, because he lied about it, now having a suspect record with an asterisk. There are many others as well, who rode the pump machine, lied about it, to the cheers of the adoring crowds, but later fell from grace in disgrace. Canadian sprinter Ben Johnson, and American track and field superstar Marion Jones who also lied about it, are a couple of other stand outs, but there are a countless number of them. The crowds wildly cheered, and looked the other way, as Barry doubled in size his weight, and the rumors and whispers circulated in the underground press, by those who were really in the know, but those rumors and whispers were ignored by the adoring crowds and cheer leaders getting vicariously rich off of the fraud. The roaring cheer leading culture would not stand for it as the hue-and-cry is JUST WIN BABY! Its sick for sure, but this culture of cheat and lie on the pump machine transcends many other areas of our lives as well. Of course, there are many deserving of the rich laurels, but who are denied the same by those who lie while on the pump machine. Today, on planet wall street, the cry is just win baby, such as, CNBC's James Cramer rants to just win baby, screeching for a Fed rate cut as the pump machine of choice to pump up the big boards on the DOW. Bill Gross, manager of PIMCO, the world largest Bond trader, has also called for short term rate cuts, as part of the financial pump machine. The Plunge Protection Machine (PPT) is one of the financial cheer leaders that is out in force, as the DOW muscles expand unnaturally so. Any time, the FEDs are more than willing to inject funds, cut rates, and authorize the hiding of losses, to keep the pump machine going. But you know, here and there are the soft rumors, the whispers from the underground, from such organizations like GATA trying to spread the word of the pump machines in the financial world, that is hurting honest money folks with gold and silver, their only store of real value, to protect themselves form the soup lines in the years ahead. And here to, those honest folks are also big losers, not getting their full measure of rich reward for holding on dearly to real gold and silver coins and bars, as the price of their metal is capped, smacked down, and limited in prices, unnaturally so, not according to the free market forces, but by the unlimited use of the pump machine using bank gold swaps and sales, and, naked short positions, as they hide it and lie about it. There is a difference, though, between sports and markets, in sports, if you get caught, you loose your fame and your laurels and may end up in jail for lying about it, in the financial market, they don’t loose anything, as the FEDs can pump pump pump in perpetuity under governmental immunity, as the king can do no wrong, in limiting the value of real money gold and silver while inflating the financial markets, while they lie about doing it, and try to hush up those rumors and whispers of truth, while addicted to the pump machine. Derrick ================ In Gaza Palestine, the HAMAs thugs throw missiles in Isreal, Irsreal blockade in response in self defense, fuel and food become hard to find, and the FREAKING BBC just gives it the poor palestinians suffering under the Jew Blockade, typical jew bashing, that's for sure. There is nothing wrong with the street brawl, I say, it they want, have at it, in time they'll wise up. Cheer up BBC, democracy works, the Gaza palestinians got and are getting exactly what they voted for. BBC is so out to lunch, its pathetic, the culprit here are those who voted HAMAs in, not Isreal self defense. ====================================== Latest polling suggest Goofy, (Fred Thompson) at 11% may throw in the towle if it dont pick up. Im with fred, but 2nd Mitt, well maybe, (he does have great hair, by the by). I guess both the Reps and Dems have demographically all shifted to the left. That is not a good long term indicator, oh well, hear comes the Bush bail out!!! Anyway, here the charlatan bit. Dishonesty in Politics and in Media Friday, January 18, 2008 By Bill O'Reilly More dishonesty in politics and in the media. That is the subject of this evening's "Talking Points Memo." Let's look at our pal John Edwards, who's running for president. Edwards contends there are "two Americas," one for the rich and the other for everybody else. And that everybody else is getting hosed. The fix is in; the economy's rigged. "Talking Points" doesn't believe that. Of course the rich do have advantages, but I am living proof that you can start with very little and prosper economically if you work hard and keep it honest. To hype up this class warfare, Edwards is now bringing in homeless veterans. JOHN EDWARDS: "Tonight, across this country, 200,000 men and women who wore our uniform and served this country patriotically, veterans, will go to sleep under bridges and on grates." Now I've said on this program that we will pay for homeless veterans to be taken to the Edwards mansion in North Carolina for shelter. Of course, that's an immature remark, I know that, but there's a reason I'm saying it. Certainly there are homeless veterans, but it's not because of the economy. It's mostly because of addiction and mental illness, something politicians can do little about. But if Edwards admits the truth, it takes away the class warfare issue, which is his only issue. My criticism of Edwards has reached his own ears. JOHN EDWARDS: "I heard that last night Bill O'Reilly, who's a talk show host, just heard that I had said this about hundreds of thousands of veterans who don't have a place to live and were homeless. And he challenged me about whether that's true or not — whether in fact we have that many veterans who don't have a place to live, and some of them are sleeping under bridges. Well, he ought to start by coming to Las Vegas." Fine. Here's the truth about poverty in America, Mr. Edwards. Listen up. You might learn something. And you need the lesson. If you earn less than $10,000, you are poor. If a family of four earns less than $21,000, they are poor. Yet according to the government census, poor households in America have lots of stuff. Ninety-seven percent have a color TV, 78 percent a DVD player, 80 percent an air conditioner, 73 percent a car or truck, 63 percent cable or satellite TV, and 43 percent of poor households in the USA own the home they are living in. So if the poor are not destitute in America, and they obviously are not, why are so many veterans sleeping under bridges, John Edwards? The answer again is they're mostly addicted or mentally ill. It has nothing to do with the economy. Edwards is a charlatan, a man either too uninformed or too dishonest to be elected to anything. I am tired of hearing this nonsense from him and other callow politicians. We deal with facts here on "The Factor," not fiction. John Edwards owes us an apology. And that's "The Memo." === Anyway, just love the fox news attack dog goes after the CHARLATAN. Hey, rather than $800, I want 50oz of Ag, BAIL ME OUT! ==== Well, my guy, Goofy, (Fred Thompson) dropped out of the presidential race. The only real conservative is out, as well as the border mex killer, Duncan Hunter. So, the field has narrow. Mitt Was my second choice, has switched on issue, so it a tuff call. Ironic that Mitt might go against the wife of the perjured womanizer, bringing a new definition of whitehouse poligamy, though I doubt if Mitt would cultivate a harum in the "blue room". Did you get Hillary comment about how she loves old billy and that his attacks on OBama demonstrate his spousal loyalty, I thinking, yeah right, now exactly how many women did billy engage during marriage to the pandering HO. Duplicity rules the pandering HO. Rudy Dances with prospective conservative judges, but cant hide his moderate past. Paul Cant support a pacifist at time of war McCain Cant support the southern border traiter Given the field, and I dont like it, I got to go with Mitt, as Rudy has switched as well, but Rudy has demonstrated liberal bias on many social issues. So, Mitt it is, THE SECOND CHOICE. Rush Limbalh was also dissapointed in Fred drop out. ================== Asia and Europe got killed equities off ave 5%, along with the PM Au 2% Ag 4%, this MLK day. So, on on Tuesday the PPT goes into action on the DOW, and the Cartel take a breather, and PM also move up? WSY? Was not that a good recap by Jack F this day on lemenu? ============= The BBC is liberal and biased so, obviously to anyone with a brain, as they repeat liberal mantra, as if fact, this day inidicated that a crash is occurring in asia and the EU, though 5% off in one day is bad, a crash, nope, that's just the hype, but today indicated that Bush was not doing enough. Here, all are now crying, US just aint printing it fast enough. The world economics are characterized by blatant hiprocacy and the double dutch. All just cant wait for the Bush bail out. ============= A 1600$ hand out to me, wont change my life one bit. I am generally opposed to any HAND OUT, as its corrupts the soul over the long term, and imprisons the poor in dependency and failure. But, Bush, that good old conversative, wants the HAND OUTs, to save the banksters, mostly. If it be, I say, give it only to the working POOR, particularly working parents paying minimum if any taxes, they will spend it quick, for the right reasons, and get the money into the economy quick, and the money will trickle up. WSY? ===== All that calculus at UC Berkeley did not prepare me for the Gold frauds, I need to go back to 2nd grade and relearn some simple principles. If you buy paper for less than a real thing, the paper must be worth less than the real thing. "The following example a second grader should be able to follow. Yesterday GLD traded at a price of $87.05 while gold futures were $882 and spot gold was at $881. I called my best sources and the best quote I could get for purchasing one ounce of physical gold was $897. So here is the question: If you were buying ownership of gold at an effective price of $870.50 for an ounce of gold by buying the gold ETF at $87.05, how does the gold ETF turn around and purchase real physical gold for you when the spot price is $11 higher, the futures price is $12 higher and the physical price is $27 higher? That is a neat trick. I wonder how they do it. YOU SHOULD START WONDERING TOO! Do you really believe the GLD ETF can survive loosing $27.00 for every ounce of gold that they buy for you? Now you know why the custodian and sub-custodian's agreements for these ETFs are so complicated and un-auditable. It would make sense that the GLD would have to trade at least $4-$5 higher than the price of gold if they were actually buying it, insuring it, guarding it, and delivering it. They say there is a sucker born every minute. This should help to prove that point." http://www.gold-eagle.com/editorials_08/greene012208.html There has been much news about record accumulations of actual bullion in the ETF wharehouses. Is this all a farce. Is the bullion really there. I dont know, of course, only understand what I read, as most, I suppose. I have been confident that the ETFs were good things, as long as the bullion was actually there. Are the ETFs mere ammo magazine for short selling? Can the big boys dip their wick into the ETFs and screw the bugs. No matter where you look, it seems that the shorts can somehow, through slight of hand, paper pushing, figure out a way to manipulate the market. The real way to stop it, is for all to hold the real thing. I thought the ETF was holding the real thing, but just dont know. ====== 2009 China will out rank the US in the number of internet users. Sure, many are young guys playing games, but there is much political debate going on as well. China can not survive without Freedom of Economic choices, that insures economic free speech, and where there is is economic free speech, political free speech is A DONE DEAL. yeap, china will go democratic, when, well the prediction was 25 years out. But, the CONFLUENCE marches on. ===============

On the out comes of the global confluence is the switch from war to trade wars and from FRN to gold, because, fiat over printing is no longer needed to sustain the war power machine and as the trade wars heat up, gold is the only medium of exchange that can keep all honest in the trade wars. As proposed above, the US can switch seemlessly to the gold, but redeeming all FRN in bullion at 1 billion FRN to an oz. Well ...... "If the gold price soars to the heavens, this will be a sign that 'the bank' (in this game of roulette) has been broken. Logically, if the bank does break, one implication will be that the world economy will become dysfunctional because all fiat currencies will become worthless." http://www.gold-eagle.com/editorials_08/bloom012008.html ========= Well Well, after 14 years of Patenting high tech goodies, my favorite inventor, Dr. Hou, has licensed a group of related data compression patents to No 1, Microsoft. Way to go, Dr. Hou. ============= 3rd Phase of Gold Bull Market Boris Sobolev Resource Stock Guide http://www.gold-eagle.com/editorials_08/sobolev012208.html With the financial system crisis looming around the world, the gold bull market is starting to enter into its third phase. On the chart below, we have broken down the gold bull market into three phases. The first phase began in 2001 and continued for 54 months with gold gaining 100% (avg. 1.85% per month). The second phase began in 2005, lasted for 24 months with gold gaining 60% (avg. 2.5% per month). ----> The third phase is the most impressive yet. Its start coincided with the widespread recognition of a crisis in the western financial system, further exacerbated by the slowdown in the economy. It is difficult to predict the slope of the third phase, but the first few months have been promising. Since September, gold has gained more than 20% (avg. 4.0% per month): steep gains indeed. The length of phase three, we think, will at least rival that of phase two - 24 months or more." The prediction was and still is a major FRN collaspe in 2010-11 bullion season and Gold goes parabolic to $2750. And that prediction still holds. I missed call the move to 17 Ag and 1080 Au in 2006-7, just too greedy, I suppose. But all indications seems we have finally started PHASE THREE and bullion is going parabolic from here. ================= McCain is called a traitor, because he turned-coat the republicans, nows wants the nod. Ann has it right. ============= 'STRAIGHT TALK' EXPRESS TAKES SCENIC ROUTE TO TRUTH January 23, 2008 Ann Coulter John McCain is Bob Dole minus the charm, conservatism and youth. Like McCain, pollsters assured us that Dole was the most "electable" Republican. Unlike McCain, Dole didn't lie all the time while claiming to engage in Straight Talk. Of course, I might lie constantly too, if I were seeking the Republican presidential nomination after enthusiastically promoting amnesty for illegal aliens, Social Security credit for illegal aliens, criminal trials for terrorists, stem-cell research on human embryos, crackpot global warming legislation and free speech-crushing campaign-finance laws. I might lie too, if I had opposed the Bush tax cuts, a marriage amendment to the Constitution, waterboarding terrorists and drilling in Alaska. And I might lie if I had called the ads of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth "dishonest and dishonorable." McCain angrily denounces the suggestion that his "comprehensive immigration reform" constituted "amnesty" -- on the ludicrous grounds that it included a small fine. Even the guy who graduated fifth from the bottom of his class at the U.S. Naval Academy didn't fall for this a few years ago. In 2003, McCain told The Tucson Citizen that "amnesty has to be an important part" of any immigration reform. He also rolled out the old chestnut about America's need for illegals, who do "jobs that American workers simply won't do." McCain's amnesty bill would have immediately granted millions of newly legalized immigrants Social Security benefits. He even supported allowing work performed as an illegal to count toward Social Security benefits as recently as a vote in 2006 -- now adamantly denied by Mr. Straight Talk. McCain keeps boasting that he was "the only one" of the Republican presidential candidates who supported the surge in Iraq. What is he talking about? All Republicans supported the surge -- including Mitt Romney and Rudy Giuliani. The only ones who didn't support it were McCain pals like Sen. Chuck Hagel. Indeed, the surge is the first part of the war on terrorism that caused McCain to break from Hagel in order to support the president. True, McCain voted for the war. So did Hillary Clinton. Like her, he then immediately started attacking every other aspect of the war on terrorism. (The only difference was, he threw in frequent references to his experience as a POW, which currently outnumber John Kerry's references to being a Vietnam vet.) Thus, McCain joined with the Democrats in demanding O.J. trials for terrorists at Guantanamo, including his demand that the terrorists have full access to the intelligence files being used to prosecute them. These days, McCain gives swashbuckling speeches about the terrorists who "will follow us home." But he still opposes dripping water down their noses. He was a POW, you know. Also a member of the Keating 5 scandal, which you probably don't know, and won't -- until he becomes the Republican nominee. Though McCain was far from the only Republican to support the surge, he does have the distinction of being the only Republican who voted against the Bush tax cuts. (Also the little lamented Sen. Lincoln Chafee, who later left the Republican Party.) Now McCain claims he opposed the tax cuts because they didn't include enough spending cuts. But that wasn't what he said at the time. To the contrary, in 2001, McCain said he was voting against Bush's tax cuts based on the idiotic talking point of the Democrats. "I cannot in good conscience," McCain said, "support a tax cut in which so many of the benefits go to the most fortunate among us at the expense of middle-class Americans who need tax relief." McCain started and fanned the vicious anti-Bush myth that, before the 2000 South Carolina primary, the Bush campaign made phone calls to voters calling McCain a "liar, cheat and a fraud" and accusing him of having an illegitimate black child. On the thin reed of a hearsay account, McCain immediately blamed the calls on Bush. "I'm calling on my good friend George Bush," McCain said, "to stop this now. He comes from a better family. He knows better than this." Bush denied that his campaign had anything to do with the alleged calls and, in a stunningly magnanimous act, ordered his campaign to release the script of the calls being made in South Carolina. Bush asked McCain to do the same for his calls implying that Bush was an anti-Catholic bigot, but McCain refused. Instead, McCain responded with a campaign commercial calling Bush a liar on the order of Bill Clinton: MCCAIN: His ad twists the truth like Clinton. We're all pretty tired of that. ANNOUNCER: Do we really want another politician in the White House America can't trust? After massive investigations by the Los Angeles Times and investigative reporter Byron York, among others, it turned out that neither of the alleged calls had been made by the Bush campaign -- nor, it appeared, by anyone else. There was no evidence that any such calls had ever been made, which is unheard of when hundreds of thousands of "robo-calls" are being left on answering machines across the state. And yet, to this day, the media weep with McCain over Bush's underhanded tactics in the 2000 South Carolina primary. In fact, the most vicious attack in the 2000 South Carolina primary came from McCain -- and not against his opponent. Seeking even more favorable press from The New York Times, McCain launched an unprovoked attack against the Rev. Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson, calling them "agents of intolerance." Unlike the phantom "black love child" calls, there's documentary evidence of this smear campaign. To ensure he would get full media coverage for that little gem, McCain alerted the networks in advance that he planned to attack their favorite whipping boys. Newspaper editors across the country stood in awe of McCain's raw bravery. The New York Times praised him in an editorial that said the Republican Party "has for too long been tied to the cramped ideology of the Falwells and the Robertsons." Though McCain generally votes pro-life -- as his Arizona constituency requires -- he embraces the loony lingo of the pro-abortion set, repeatedly assuring his pals in the media that he opposes the repeal of Roe v. Wade because it would force women to undergo "illegal and dangerous operations." Come to think of it, Dole is a million times better than McCain. Why not run him again? =================== Why, because MODERATE republicans CANT WIN, Dole proved that. That means, Rudy and McCain are out. Got to go with MITT, over taxer and alien lover Huckster. Osama is much better than the Pandering HO, but I dont think them LA/NY fags will let any dem, saying merry christmas, get the nod. SO, Mitt V Hillary, now aint that ironic, a polygamist contending with one wife, and one wife contending with a harum. ON THE FLOOR!!! ================== Mitt flip flop and so, its fair to give McCain a chance, just sent out the email to Mitt and John, asking, yes or no, will you shut down the souther border? Lets see if I get a response. ================= I believe McCain policy is to build the fence in a time certain. I LIKE THAT!!! and what about Amesty for 12 million CRIMINAL ALIENS?? =============== Just saw an ad here on Bloomer in so-cal, Huckster saying "ABOLISH THE IRS", hey, I like that one, dang, throw in the FED, and hell, it will be a toss up, between 12 million IRS agents or 12 million criminal aliens, well, I guess both are unconstitutional, d*mn, maybe we could get rid of both set of CRIMINALS. keeping legs crossed in laguna beach CA. ==================== Dear Derrick Michael: Thank you for contacting me regarding immigration and border control for our country. I appreciate your interest in my campaign for President and would like to extend my sincere gratitude for taking the time to share your views with me. I recognize that meaningful immigration reform is a very high priority for the American people. Legal immigration has been an important component of our nation’s success. Legal immigration brings enhanced culture, vitality, love for opportunity, and a larger workforce. Illegal immigration, though, presents numerous challenges for our communities. I believe it’s important to end illegal immigration so we can maintain and encourage legal immigration. To reform our current immigration system, we must meet three priorities. Securing our borders is the first means of addressing the problem of illegal immigration in our country. Next, we must create an employment verification system that is enforceable and tamper-proof, to ensure that we’re only giving jobs to those who are here legally, and penalize employers who hire those without proper identification. Finally, we must not provide any special privilege or pathway to citizenship for those here illegally. I strongly oppose an amnesty program that would automatically grant citizenship to the illegal immigrants already in this country. As Governor of Massachusetts, I took action to address illegal immigration. I stopped measures that would have provided driver’s licenses and in-state tuition to illegal immigrants. I also took steps to deputize Massachusetts State Troopers to question, detain and arrest illegal immigrants. As President, I will enforce existing federal immigration laws and cut back funding to “sanctuary cities” that encourage illegal immigration. I am running for President because I fervently believe that I have the experience and vision to address the issues facing our country. Throughout my years in both the private and public sectors, I have been successful by pursuing innovation and transformation. If there were ever a time for change in Washington, it is now. Again, thank you for contacting me. I encourage you to visit my website at www.MittRomney.com for updated information on immigration and other issues that may be of interest to you. I look forward to hearing from you in the future, and earning your support. Sincerely, SS/ Mitt Romney ================= Given the fear of the MEX vote back-lash, I suppose that is about as strong as any republican candidate will go. So, IM WITH MITT. I dont know about the basis for the Mormon religion, but all Mormons I have ever met were stand up good moral folks, though I recognize there are a few tranditionalists who perfer polygamy, but that is a fringe sec, I suppose, and are the last of their kind. So, Mitt is good on business and says get will up hold laws on CRIMINAL ALIENS, and the Mormon folks are moral folks and blieve in Jesus and his teachings, and are just fine with me, SO IM WITH MITT. =========== So Fred tanks after SC, and now Rudy bails after FL. The dems still have a house full, I suppose, but only the top 3 are serious. Now eddie, the charlatan, bail as well, after FL. Pandering HO <-- universal health care when social security is broke Osama <--- good choice with gold bull, both seeking the nuke stand off with Iran, but Osama has style, but where's the beef? v Traitor <--- broke ranks on the border, mex lover ExMormon <--- Wharewolf of london, his hair is perfect gold bull <--- No chance and to soft on Iran, epocalytic, wont make it to the bell, but maybe will pick up 1% with Rudy and Fred out of there. what a collection of fine candidates, eh? Narrowing it down to zero, is my book. Mitt a MA flip-flopper is preferred, buisness type with social conservatism, well at least during the primaries, at least, but d*mn, who does his hair? ============ Dang, its practically a love fest, between endorser Guliani and the TRAITOR, who practically guaranteed Rudy the VP nod. So the Republicans are set, Mitt will have trouble, and may bail after super-fooday. So, the republicans are set, wont be much news, and the press will turn on Osama and the pandering HO, and it will get real nasty in the Dem camp, which can only help the Reps. Pandering HO & Osama v Traitor & Rudolf, there it is, see you in November when the TRAITOR is president elect, as that is all she wrote for 08. GEEZZZZ, GAG ME WITH A FENCE!!! Woman for President named Clinton puting the perjurer womanizer back in the white house and a Black for VP named Osama at a time of war with islamofacism, that may just be to progressive for the good old white boys. THAT's the call. ============= Sorry, I am going to be brutally honest here. With the line up, pandering HO and Osama v Traitor and Rudolf, you can bet the south will be a solid south for the republican camp, them good old boy, just dont like home-made-yankee (HO) and darkie taskmaster being a close cousin to the 9/11 islamofascist. Liberman and Rudy, both new england moderate may just take some new-england states, and the traitor will secure the west and the moral right just cant stand to have that womanizer back in the whitehouse and that means MO and probably IA, but CA will go Dem as usual, WA OR probably as well, upper midwest ditto in the DEM camp, it will be another nail-bitter again, if OH FL go republican, game over, if split, then Traitor, Rudolf and liberman need to pull in PA or NY. ============= The duplicity of George Clooney, Actor, Bush hater, and anti-war screecher George Clooney was proudly designated a US peace delegate at large to bring the message of peace around the world, and particularly to the Dufar Region of Sudan. How wonderful that is. He appears on TV, the BBC in particular, a bastion of slanted Bush reporting, and gives the pathetic murder, rape, genocide, brutality passionate rant, for all to hear, with all the sincerity possible by one trained in the art of acting. He now advocates the deployment of UN peace keeping troop in the region to stop the atrocities. But it’s a queer thing in deed, Clooney advocating the deployment of troops, to right a wrong, a convenient selectivity of his ostensible sincere concern for the outrages of the world. We should all admire such concern, right? But wait a minute. Where was Clooney when Saddam gassed the Kurds, tortured political opponents, operated the rape rooms, pillaged Kuwait, or slaughtered the Iranian, causing millions of deaths. Clooney was not campaigning to for regime change in Iraq, but regime change in Sudan is just find with Clooney. Clooney was selectively AWOL from sincere concern for the Saddam outrages. Not one peep. And why would that be? Because, George Clooney is too politically aligned against the republican occupation of the Whitehouse, and to motivated by the hate for president Bush, or any act of the administration, to seek regime change of Saddam's Iraq. Clooney is a duplicite snake, rattling his tail, only to his political orientation, to the cheers of the hate Bush crowd, and announced by the liberal BBC, always being politically active, but under a farcical guise of sincere concern for all the unfortunates of the world. Had Bush sent in the BIG RED ONE infantry division, hoping for success against the brutality in Sudan, you can bet, George Clooney to lead an anti-invasion rally against another so-call naked act of agression by the administration. Clooney is simply a pathetic farce, shown for the political snake he is. ============== Silver Dragon in a land of Propaganda. I have been buying silver dragon (SDRG) under 75c/share, and it recently hit 47c/share, a 52 week low. There is also currently a huge snow storm in china. Yesterday, I saw SDRG price, just ticking away at about 54c, plunge to 47c, and then recover to about 59c for a nice 7% gain on the day, but a wild ride for sure. I was thinking it was a reaction to growing problems in china, and the recovery may have been a bear blow off, ready for a climb to 3$/share, and ultimately within 3 years to 20$/share. So I again reviewed online data. SDRG has 100% interest in a Mexico mine and 90% interest in Chinese mines with the Chinese government owning 10%, in Inner Mongolia district in China, in which it has 9 properties and 1 operating mine. So, I turned on the Chinese news station this day. This particular news show is geared for the USA, I suppose. The news station is obviously controlled by the government and presented completely in English. This news station has one Caucasian male announcer obviously speaking clear English (for the US Yankees), and one Chinese female, (to give it that cultural feel I suppose) obviously having English as a second language. All of the field reporters, and there were many in a constant stream of field report spoke in English, particularly about the "railroad" station in the Guangdong (spelling) Hong Kong province, and the problems of 100,000 day traffic along with shortages in food stores. IT WAS SO STRANGE for me to watch the show, and even now, as I think about, I am still just stunned. I can not believe what I saw and heard. I was in Russia, and sure, there was not much international news from international commentators, like the BBC and VOA on regular broadcast TV, but at least, from what I understand, it was more western style, you get the big news FACTS, with a little press about the Russian government in proportion to other news. In this Chinese news show, no matter what was the topic, every third sentence, or there about, something was mentioned positive about the government, things under way and intentions about and of the central government, like repairing roads, bringing food stuff to people during time of devastating snow storms. EVERY THIRD SENTENCE!!! I have never been exposes to a constant stream of propaganda in my life, (I dont read the NY times nor watch CNN, LOL!!) and was actually stunned, that such barbaric uses of the media could even possibly exist these days, but then, I dont regular watch news shows from other countries. Maybe its normal there, but it was just a shocker, in realization that free press is not universal, and that state control media just feeds the population line after line after line, constantly, praising the government, while so controlling the press. This was not just a good comment here or there, but absolute Chinese "central government" propaganda machine, like a preplan news reel out of the past. I had no idea what real STATE CONTROLLED MEDIA was, nor the constancy of such PRAISING PROPAGANDA of only the central government. It was right out of HOLLYWOOD, for me, of some lost time of empire and the ancient propaganda machines, but no, it IS REALITY, right here in the 21 century, by a major WORLD POWER, of all things. Such shocking in its scope and stunning in its repetitively. It had an aura of a CULT OF PERSONALITY THING, almost like the Chinese news hour was one long bible thumping evangelic tent show, just going off 24/7, about how the central government can and will save all. There were constant reports about how food stores are being supplied, ALL THANKS TO THE CHINESE GOVERNMENT, to meet needs, and how rail service was being restored, ALL THANKS TO THE CHINESE GOVERNMENT. There was a report of two workers getting killed restoring electricity on power transformers, and about how they GAVE THEIR LIVES for the common good, (RIGHT OUT OF STALIN'S or HILTER'S propaganda machine). JUST STUNNING. I was so completely taken back. This is news broadcasting right out of the rubble of WWII, a day, I thought was long past. I still cant believe it the MEDIA CONTROL for obvious GLORIFICATION of the central TOTALITARIAN government. Just wild, if you can see it for exactly what it is, BIG BROTHER in the extreme. Just stunning, I really cant describe the feelings it brought over me, a sense of gloom, like visions of apocalyptic beginnings or the start of world war IV starting with an intercontinental ballistic exchange as a precursor to world devolution back to the stone age, with goose stepping, green clad Chinese army regulars sweeping through eastern Europe. Yeap, Russia has a long way to go with that free press/speech thing, but China is not even in the ball park, as they are so backward in trying to treat people like robotic monotones to be propagandized and controlled like puppets. You bet there will political unrest in china for decades to come, growing in furor as the common folks realize that speaking out can make a difference in the direction china heads. So, there is a huge devastating snow storm in central china, and the initially food prices soar, but then, the government cut merchant fees/taxes and on the TV news show indicates that the government "hopes" this will reduce pricing, which is a communication from central HQ, CUT YOUR FOOD PRICES NOW, (or else), directly from Beijing. And all of a sudden, food prices fall 30%, and all the minions are in lock step and do it BY THE NUMBERS as called by central HQ. That is right out of the THIRD REICH, as the closest thing I can possibly think of, such a totalitarian regime, practicing capitalism with direct price controls from Beijing. The Chinese are screwed up, BIG TIME, that for sure. But then, the US has the controlling FEDs. hhmmm, the lesser of two evils??? I go with FEDs, at least GATA could published an ad "Any One Seen Our Gold" and print a MIDAS column. You would never have such a right in China, even questioning the government, might make your head roll. It seems so barbaric to really see the media control and the propaganda so OBVIOUS, SO HABITUAL, SO REPETITIVE, and SO SELF GLORIFYING. Just stunning to realize it fully, and to think, there are what 1.7 billion Chinese, who have to endure this propaganda, day in and day out, 24/7. That would drive me absolutely crazy, as I am sure it would drive all Americans crazy. At least in our primaries, you get some mud throwing to make it tolerable, but in china, there is no mud, only self-glorification on the public news. Just stunning. Silver Dragon: 69 million shares issued, 240K daily volume, 2.85-0.47 52 week range, close 0.58 on 2/1/08, 1 million in cash on hand, nominal long term debt. Mexico has the Cerros Las Mintas Mine starting production with growth to 1 million Oz/year capacity with some lead and zinc production. China Erbahuo of inner Mongolia district has 9 Mine properties, with one producing. 52Moz indicated and inferred silver and 800 Moz of prospective or latent Silver. 08 estimates are for Mexico + China are 535K+482K oz in 08, 1009K+947K oz in 09, and 1350K+957K in 10, so the silver production looks to rapidly increase 20 2.2 million oz at 38M$/year revenue, and meeting such production target to jet the share price to 20$/share by end 2009. The china Erbahuo project, having 9 properties, and 1 operating mine, is located about 200 miles, northeast of Beijing, toward Manchuria, in the north-northeastern, inner Mongolia (Nei Mongolia) district. The snow storm Chinese news reports concerned the southern district of Quangdong, which includes Hong Kong and Macao on the southeast coast of china. So, the snow storms are apparently not in the mining district, and should not affect the mining of silver in China. Annual silver production is about 650Moz in 2006, Peru 111 Moz Mexico 96 Moz China 75Moz Australia 55Moz Chile 51 Moz Poland 40 Moz Russia 39 Moz USA 36 Moz Canada 31 Moz Kazakhstan 26 Moz Bolivia 15 Moz =================== Iran launch a long range rocket, for their space program, of course, yeah right. Putin came out and said something about Russia will have to re-think its support of Iran on the NUKE issue. As stated above, MOSCOW is allot closer the Tehran that Washington DC, which plays into the joint missile screen in Eastern Europe. The confluence marches on. ================ So, Mitt bailed out, that's the 2nd loser I picked, now left with no chance Huckster and the TRAITOR, on oneside and Pandering Ho and Osama. What a selection%#@%^#. ==============

Le Patron, Russian Inflation Rate Sunday is election day in Russia, and Mr. Medvedev is a shoe in, and he has been speaking about the need for "freedom" sounding like he may ease Putin's media controls. Who knows, but one thing is known, Russia officially reported 12% inflation this year and that Russia had missed its inflation goals throughout Putin's term over the last 8 years. Yet, over this term, the Ruble has been strong relative to the Dollar having gone down from 31R/$ to this day breaking 24R/$ for the first time in a 8 year down trend. So, US inflation is officially reported at 4%. Russian inflation is 12%, or 1:3. From Government reports, US inflation is less than Russian inflation. Really? Then why would the dollar tank relative to the Ruble? For the Dollar to fall in value relative to the Ruble, the US real inflation rate should be greater than the Russian inflation rate, given all else equal. The dollar's drop relative to the Ruble and the reported official Russian inflation rate indicates that US inflation rate is greater than Russian inflation rate of 12%, and indicates the US official inflation rate is off by at least factor of three times to accurately measure real inflation, currency conversion, and the reported Russian inflation rate. Derrick ======================== Le Patron For the Clueless, One thing is sure, hanging on to bullion since jumping in 2001 has been a winner. The 06 run in bullion mirrors in large measure the 08 run, as documented by RichieDoc of the Lemetropolecafe. The run thus far in 08 has been good, but will there be a like May-06 sell off? I'm holding bullion, it has been a winner play for seven years running. And is not 2008 different? In 2006: No Inflation Expectations No Dow Top No Short Squeezing No CB Gold Sale Reduction No Panic Fed Rate Cuts No Small Spec Shorting No Decreasing Interest Rates No SA Power Outage No Recession Talk No Subprime Fallout No Credit Freeze No Billion $ Write Downs No 100$ oil No 2000$ Pt No Wheat rampage No Planet Wall Wtreet PM Coverage Yet some things have remain the same. Base Metals and commodities in general on a surge. Dollar continues its century long fall to zero value. Triple Deficits with no end in sight. Third world booming economies. Wars, Wars and more Wars. This time, in 2008, bullion will be different. I am sticking with my 2007 call for 2008, and silver will move there NOW, to 23$/oz minimum before a correction, that wont be, 5% max, but a leveling breather, but just for awhile, but with a upward bias until another round of squeezing. And the sad thing is that the CBs and the CARTEL have conditioned most people glued to planet wall street to think in presupposed ways, the common fold, the party line, as the small specs short bullion on this move, waiting for the ever present and expected CARTEL raid, that wont happen, not this time, and the small specs will get there Butts handed to them. The CARTEL may raid, but buyers will buy it all up, and fast. The small spec shorts are lemmings following years of banks' conditioning the sheeple with talking down bullion along with CARTEL raids. So, it appears that, the first round was buyers taking on the CARTEL with increasing prices, where after, the small spec (little future guys) get squeezed out for the big lost, right now, as the run continues. This is why the small specs shorting is bullish. The second phase is where the major squeeze takes out perennial monster shorts sending Ag well over 100$. Mom and Pop will then take serious notice of that move, for sure. The third round comes at $500/oz Ag after MON and POP put their houses on the line, only to then have Ag correct to 200$/oz, as Mom and Pop no longer have to pay that adjusting teaser interest rate on their subprime loan, as Mom and Pop will get free meals to boot, in the shelter at the soup line. The small spec shorting is the clue, that 08, is really different, for the clueless. Derrick ================= Le Patron, Congratulations! Warning, please be advised, that there is wacko nut case stalking planet wall street with outlandish claims and prognostications of sky high bullion prices. This crazed fool is shunned by most major media and common folks as being a bit on the edge, a loose cannon. Well, in the fall of last year, October 2007, extra special note was taken by yours truely when this crazed lunatic said that gold would be several hundred dollars higher, and specifically put the price at $950/oz to $1150/oz within six to nine months. The minimum call was $950 by June 08. Most planet wall street cool-aide drinkers yawned, and just thought this creep was nothing but a blow-hard court jester, dressed up like a Mycenaean King in gold laced garb, playing the fool, for the big laugh, and they did laugh at him. Honestly, I was a little skeptical when gold was struggling in the $700s, and told all my friends in the cafe about the gutzee call made by that lone-star gold bug. Well Well, as it turned out, June 08 950$ was the minimum, and dang, the price range was hit within 3 months of the call, JUST NAILING IT, and March 08 $1150 as a maximum, now seems a sure bet, within 30 days. In going back, as it turns out, this gold-freak, has been right on the money FOR SIX YEARS running with the bullion calls and correct analysis. Guess who is laughing now? Who is this guy? Well he goes by the name Midas, now having my sincere congratulations! Derrick ============= Le Patron, 5000$/oz Gold, Monetary inflation is real. Asset deflation, such a housing, is real. My house has deflated 30% in two years, here in beautiful Laguna Beach California, a prior hot bed of housing speculation. Gold and Silver is real money, a unique animal there between, being both a hard asset and money. So, presently, the US has generalized asset deflation (housing) in an increasingly fiat inflationary economy. WHAT?? An inflationary-deflationary economy, is there really such an animal over the long run? It seems that the bad-mouthing of the housing market would be short lived, ala Black-Hawk "helicopter" Bernakie being Loaded- For-Bear. The term Black-Hawk is a suitable term, as Bernakie is surely a dollar hawk in word, and a Black-Hawk in deed, as a false strong dollar proponent, in reality. However, there is a strong possibility that Bernakie will save the US from recession, and will reverse housing deflation, while inflating the fiat beyond all expectations, which inflation will surely accelerate, while bullion and commodities in general continue to soar, beyond all expectations. Of course, any good remark about the FEDs is not well received in the Cafe, but, you known, Bernakie is acting, he is on it, and really showing his true colors, the black flag, for example, with a panic FED rate cut, as he will surely inflate the fiat dollar to stabilize housing as much as needed, which is exactly what is desired by most real money believers, to ultimately, in 25 years hence, totally destroy all fiat globally, as the world returns to gold and silver as the sole medium of international exchange to encourage free and fair global trade. There are some real money believers who are actually rooting for Bernakie to inflate the dollar and the US out of the housing down turn, as a necessary incremental step toward the destruction of all fiat globally, and to finally end the unsound market manipulation of bullion relative to the fiat dollar. As such, with Bernakie at the FED helm, housing should come back, recession should be avoided, of course, at the expense of the fiat dollar and dollar savings, if there is any around. Like an addict champing at the bit, bring it on Bernakie, and kill kill kill the fiat dollar, and thereby, save housing, avoid recession, and tank that valueless paper money, the scourge of all free markets, enroute to real money economies. As such, stagflation should be avoided, but with a huge inflationary recovery, and with gold and silver bullion being the star over-all performer. The price of gold is not directly related to the over-all health of the economy, but rather, gold is directly related to that medium, the fiat, in which bullion is based. Surely, the rotation from the DOW to bullion in the current multi-decade supercycle shift will accelerate as bullion reaches new high after high, as some Dow dollars shift to bullion, and in that way, gold indirectly relates to the over-all health of the economy, but not directly, as investors merely search for the best returns of the day. The DOW could well soar to record high after high in this inflationary period, but with bullion out-performing in continuance of the supercycle based in large measure on supply and demand dynamics especially with the gold CARTEL running out of central bank gold to continue the gold suppression. There is of course an inherent confliction in the cafe. Most see a housing collapse, a Dow tank, run away inflation, and soaring bullion, yet, is not inflation with deflating assets, inherently conflicted? The US may not face the doom the gloom of economic devastation, as the jury is still out, but one thing must ultimately occur, as had been previously indicated by Midas nearly a decade ago, 5000$/oz gold. Derrick ================= McCain is now officially the Rep candidate, while Osama and the pandering OH, duke it out, with NO PROMISES and NAKED PROMISES, respectively. McCain betrayed the US with his immigration stance, surrendering the southern border, as a political COWARD. However, it was a centerist play, and will put him in good stead nationally. I can support McCain for that reason, I would only vote for him, as a NEGATIVE vote against the Dem panderers. Wont send McCain one dollar though. ============= More later, as I collect facts. The Russian election was an ABSOLUTE FARCE. ============= New York City Mayor Bloomberg was on the tube, discussing the terror attack in NY this day. Bloomberg is polished and articulate, and carries the Rep party line about the need for a military and threat of terrorism. This plays in the Rep hand book. Still hoping for a terror attack on the NY times, but no doubt viewed as a terror ally, so it wont happen. The dems are toast. Osama and Pandering Ho with their cut and run and apeasement platforms assures a McCain victory, no doubt, its beyound question. But let the Dem have their little pissing match, seeing who can out do who on proposing rediculous unaffordable socialistic programs, in an economy that can not, in any serious way, support the socialistic proposals, which corrupts the spirit over time. Dems are toast. I indicated in late 04, Hillary gots no chance, and a rep will ride BUSH's coat tails, in 08. Still cant see it any other way. ============================= The Russian election was a farce. The communicunist guy Zungonof got the regular senior citizen vote, as the pensioners and near pensioners look to government to pay their way. Not much difference between Russian communinists and the AARP and their senior minions here in the US that suck resources from those who most need government, the children, the next generation. Russian wife and boy just got back from their visit there. Uncle Valery and Aunt Valentina, seniors, therefore voted communist, while the younger Elena, and youthful Natasha, and Vlad, saluted, and voted Medvedia. The other candidates did not get air time, under Putin's media controls, and so the election was inherently unfair. From sources, apparently, Moscow sent off to city administrations around Russia, a notice, that if Medvedev did not get at least 70% of vote, heads would rolls. Medvedev was elected by a landslide. ================= GOP, You all claim McCain is a man of priniciple, which by conduct must include treason by surrendering the southern border with the dem lead white flag. HOW POSSIBLY can I, also a man of priniciple, support McCain? NOT ONE DIME to the GOP until I hear McCain unequivocally say, HE WILL SHUT IT DOWN. I am waiting to get back on the team. Derrick Michael Reid Laguna Beach CA =============== IT’S OVER By DICK MORRIS Published on TheHill.com on March 6, 2008. The real message of Tuesday’s primaries is not that Hillary won. It’s that she didn’t win by enough. The race is over. The results are already clear. Obama will go to the Democratic Convention with a lead of between 100 and 200 elected delegates. The remaining question is: What will the superdelegates do then? But is that really a question? Will the leaders of the Democratic Party be complicit in its destruction? Will they really kindle a civil war by denying the nomination to the man who won the most elected delegates? No way. They well understand that to do so would be to throw away the party’s chances of victory and to stigmatize it among African-Americans and young people for the rest of their lives. The Democratic Party took 20 years to recover from the traumas of 1968 and it is not about to trigger a similar bloodletting this year. John McCain’s nomination guarantees that the superdelegates wouldn’t dare. A perfectly acceptable alternative for most Democrats, McCain would harvest so large a proportion of Obama’s votes if Hillary steals the nomination that he would probably win. Even putting Obama on the ticket would not allay the anger of his supporters; it would just make him complicit in the robbery. Will Hillary win Pennsylvania? Who cares? Even if she were to sweep the remaining primaries and caucuses by 10 points, she would move just 60 votes closer to Obama’s total of elected delegates. And she won’t sweep them all. Even if Hillary wins Pennsylvania, the largest prize up for grabs, Obama will probably win North Carolina, which is almost as large. He’s likely to win Mississippi and Wyoming and has a good shot in Oregon and Indiana. The most likely result of these coming contests is that Obama will be roughly where he is now, about 140 elected delegates ahead of Hillary. Suppose that Hillary will carry those states by enough to offset Obama’s delegate lead. The proportional representation system makes a knockout impossible and so mutes relatively narrow victories as to make them almost inconsequential. Little Vermont, with 600,000 people, gave Obama a net gain of four delegates, half of what Hillary won from the Texas primary, a state with 20 million residents. Even after Hillary won big-state victories in Ohio and Texas, she drew only 20 closer to Obama’s total of elected delegates. Hillary won’t withdraw. That much is for sure. The tantalizing notion that 800 insiders can offset a season of primaries and caucuses will drive both Clintons to ever-escalating rhetoric. Will their attacks hurt Obama? Likely all they will achieve is to give him needed experience in the cut and thrust of media politics. Left out of the entire equation is poor John McCain. Unable to get a word in edgewise and unsure of which Democrat to attack, he will have to watch from the sidelines as Hillary and Obama hog the headlines. If the superdelegates deliver the nomination to Hillary in the dead of night without leaving fingerprints at the crime scene, McCain’s nomination will be worth having. If Obama prevails, it won’t be worth the paper on which it is written. The giant killer, Obama will have soared to new heights of popularity and McCain won’t be able to bring him back to Earth in the nine weeks that will remain. Suggestion for Obama: The next time Hillary uses the recycled red phone ad, counter with one of your own. When the phone rings in the middle of the night, have a woman’s voice, with a flat Midwestern accent, answer it and say, “Hold on” into the receiver. Then she should shout, “Bill! It’s for you!” Because with Hillary’s complete lack of any meaningful experience in foreign affairs, and her lack of the “testing” that she boldly claims, she’ll be yelling for Bill. ============== I am a bit more sinical, in that, the DEMS wont dare dist the "darkie" for fear of alieniating the black vote. In 2009, china will outrank the US in the number of internet users, many young guys playing computer games, but much economic and POLITICAL debate is occurring. China can not survive without freedom of choice in the market place, and that means economic free speech, and where there is economic free speech, political free speech will follow as night follows day. Sure the chinese gov is all over the intenet traffic, but like a child, the internet users will constantly push the envelope. There is much desire for democratic reform, when?, dont know, the prediction above in the "time line" was about 25 years out. DONE DEAL! ============= Surf's UP!!!!!! minor small large and major wave crashing at a golden shore near you!! http://www.gold-eagle.com/editorials_08/field032408.html ============== I have seen other's call to 850 on this correction. Gold correction hit a brick wall at 905 now moving higher. Wave analysis calls for a 850 correction, but, however, if you look at last large wave, the corrections were comming it at about 6% not 16%, I suppose is expected. from 1033 to 905 is 12.4%, and close enough to 16%, and much worst than prior -6% corrections. Hence, if gold wave responds in anything like manner to prior wave, CORRECTION OVER. ================== Le Patron Died of a Theory When all of the confederate governors and politicians saw the handwriting on the wall, old Jeff Davis took the heat, complaining he did not have enough power, that may sound familiar. Davis said if Confederacy fails, it died of theory. Well, rumor has it, Bear Stern Corporation (BSC) had a theory of leverage for gains using derivatives, and to then pile those gains going long of gold and short of dollars. So, BSC is up to its eyeballs in derivatives. OK, on the edge, look out BSC, one little drop with a counter-party failure, and bang, you're out of business. Apparently, BSC did not play with the other boys to save LTCM. And, oh, BSC went long of gold and short of dollars. Well well BSC just ain't a team player. PPT will just have to and did do something about that. The PPT cant let an arrant soldier running wild, now can they? So, BSC went huge long of gold, and huge short of dollars, and is the 5th US brokerage firm, and definitely, not a team US FED player. Well Well, PPT needs to spank BSC, and send a strong message to the other US finance boys, you go long of gold and short of dollars, and your derivative pile will blow up in your face, and you're out of business. Ah, the poor little Bear went short of the dollar and got its bare butt spanked. All the PTT complainers took on BSC bucking the trend by going long gold and short of dollars. BSC is what, dumping it longs of gold and shorts of dollar, wheeewww, just in time to tank gold from 1032 to 905$/oz and shore up the dollar. Dang, Bear's derivatives exploded in losses, BSC takes the hit, and the FED jumps in for the kill of the dollar bear as JPM scavenges the dead. Ah, leveraging derivatives for max gains to pile those gains for the parlay into gold and out of the USD, a simpled theory. Sure glad the FEDs are there keeping everyone in line in our free and fair markets. BSC, it apparently will died of theory. Derrick ============== COME ON, you know the saying: PUT YOUR MONEY WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS. The liberal will tax and spend under the guize of helping the poor. BS, its all about pandering low income for governmental help and the PS crowd who want to destroy all things moral and wholesome in the name of civil liberties, as they TAKE and redistribute wealth, and take and take and take, to feed their SP agenda. The facts are that most american give about 7% a year, and CONSERVATIVES give 30% more than LIBERALS. Conservatives, the moral right, in particular give allot more, and voluntarily do so without GOV taxes and mandate. Its is the consersative who really want to the help the poor. It is the conservatives that really help the poor, putting their money where their mouths are. The SP liberals could care less about the poor, except come election time, of course. ============================= I just love the smear dogs, and Morris is lead pooch!! Whats the saying fool me once shame of you, fool THEM 20 times, and THEY deserve it. ================= HILLARY'S LIST OF LIES By DICK MORRIS Published on TheHill.com on March 25, 2008. The USA Today/Gallup survey clearly explains why Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) is losing. Asked whether the candidates were “honest and trustworthy,” Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) won with 67 percent, with Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) right behind him at 63. Hillary scored only 44 percent, the lowest rating for any candidate for any attribute in the poll. Hillary simply cannot tell the truth. Here's her scorecard: Admitted Lies • Chelsea was jogging around the Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001. (She was in bed watching it on TV.) • Hillary was named after Sir Edmund Hillary. (She admitted she was wrong. He climbed Mt. Everest five years after her birth.) • She was under sniper fire in Bosnia. (A girl presented her with flowers at the foot of the ramp.) • She learned in The Wall Street Journal how to make a killing in the futures market. (It didn't cover the market back then.) Whoppers She Won't Confess To • She didn't know about the FALN pardons. • She didn't know that her brothers were being paid to get pardons that Clinton granted. • Taking the White House gifts was a clerical error. • She didn't know that her staff would fire the travel office staff after she told them to do so. • She didn't know that the Peter Paul fundraiser in Hollywood in 2000 cost $700,000 more than she reported it had. • She opposed NAFTA at the time. • She was instrumental in the Irish peace process. • She urged Bill to intervene in Rwanda. • She played a role in the '90s economic recovery. • The billing records showed up on their own. • She thought Bill was innocent when the Monica scandal broke. • She was always a Yankees fan. • She had nothing to do with the New Square Hasidic pardons (after they voted for her 1,400-12 and she attended a meeting at the White House about the pardons). • She negotiated for the release of refugees in Macedonia (who were released the day before she got there). With a record like that, is it any wonder that we suspect her of being less than honest and straightforward? Why has McCain jumped out to a nine-point lead over Obama and a seven-point lead over Hillary in the latest Rasmussen poll? OK, Obama has had the Rev. Wright mess on his hands. And Hillary has come in for her share of negatives, like the Richardson endorsement of Obama and the denouement of her latest lie — that she endured sniper fire during a trip to Bosnia. But why has McCain gained so much in so short a period of time? Most polls had the general election tied two weeks ago. McCain's virtues require a contrast in order to stand out. His strength, integrity, solidity and dependability all are essentially passive virtues, which shine only by contrast with others. Now that Obama and Hillary are offering images that are much weaker, less honest, and less solid and dependable, good old John McCain looks that much better as he tours Iraq and Israel while the Democrats rip one another apart. It took Nixon for us to appreciate Jimmy Carter's simple honesty. It took Clinton and Monica for us to value George W. Bush's personal character. And it takes the unseemly battle among the Democrats for us to give John McCain his due. When Obama faces McCain in the general election (not if but when) the legacy of the Wright scandal will not be to question Obama's patriotism or love of America. It will be to ask if he has the right stuff (pardon the pun). The largest gap between McCain and Obama in the most recent USA Today/Gallup Poll was on the trait of leadership. Asked if each man was a “strong, decisive leader,” 69 percent felt that the description fit McCain while only 56 percent thought it would apply to Obama. (61 percent said it of Hillary.) Obama has looked weak handling the Rev. Wright controversy. His labored explanation of why he attacks the sin but loves the sinner comes across as elegant but, at the same time, feeble. Obama's reluctance to trade punches with his opponents makes us wonder if he could trade them with bin Laden or Ahmadinejad. We have no doubt that McCain would gladly come to blows and would represent us well, but about Obama we are not so sure. =================== Le Patron, Big Money is Made in the Golden Arts, It has been suggested lately that Mr. Sinclair acts merely on faith as if his belief in gold is based upon a religion, though I have never heard of Mr. Sinclair praying to a golden bull. Mr. Sinclair as well as Midas have followers that are akin to religious zealots or are fascinated in cults of personalities, taking on the big guns with the countrarian views. However, many objective yet inexperience bullion investors have doubts in the projections made by these two fringe bullion analysts. What these bullion investors are missing is that projections are mostly an art form, and not a precise science, and not a calculus, and looking for only the sure bet objective standard will always fail. The key is to look for sound technical reasoning, fundamental analysis reasoning, and artistic qualities in the analyst. The black boxes work as a science based upon a calculus. Straight line TA analysis works as a science often with straight line break outs. Fundamental analysis works as science, as well with average PE ratios. Boxes, rulers, and income reports however never tell the full story, nor guarantee future price performance. Why are Jrs in the tank? You tell me. What is missing from these scientific approaches is the necessary key aspect of human cultural analysis intermixed in the technical analysis as a comprehensive art form in bullion projections. Often, in analyzing market technicals as a science, such as focusing on buying at a double bottom, or focusing on increases in income per share, projections are made with the exactly stated reasons. But pure scientific analysis will never provide the complete analysis offering the best and more accurate projections of the gold price. Gold is a commodity that plays on human emotions since the beginning of time and to this day and gold must be viewed respecting human culture propensities. For example, how does the Chinese affinity for gold play into the market science? It don’t. When Chinese are dirt poor, they may not buy as much gold in percent terms of income, but when Chinese are filthy rich, they may just leverage their buying disproportionately to a much much higher percentage of income, and hence, a retarded kick-in of a huge buying potential that would not be apparent in a pure technical analysis looking several years down the road, which is what investing is all about. It must be difficult to quantize the Chinese affinity affect on gold, because that is art form, yet, it is very real. Perhaps some day, someone may make a technical analysis on how changes in the China GNP, changes in income distribution, and in gold sales volume, to scientifically correlate the Chinese human cultural affinity to the price of gold. Mathematical models could be developed, I suppose, yet, there are so many human factors that may affect individual decisions that any model would only work just part of the time. For another example, how would one analyze the buying attitudes of the Indians? It to is an art form, unless one could fit those cultural attitudes into precise technical changes when purchasing changes are correlated to swings in price. Has anyone developed a third order differential equation that relates the time-rate-change of the gold price into a pure technical read out on Indians' willingness to buy for a local marriage during price fluctuation? I don’t think so. Human cultural drivers are real but are very difficult to quantize scientifically, and are largely ignored by most technical analysts. Humans beings control this earth, and only human motivations and emotions will continue to set market prices. Yet, human cultural affects poorly fit into any scientific methodology with precise modeling because of the difficulty in precisely understanding how the human minds of thousands of different human cultures around the world affect the price of gold in the aggregate. The best scientists are true artists. Scientists often use their "gut" to propose new theories opening up a new avenue of investigation. They proposed new models of real world physical happenings. They then plan experimentation for proving their models, which if proved, the gut call can then be relied upon, based upon "good science". However, they started with their gut feeling, that intangible art form derived much prior experience and from a billion of brain neurons interassociating at lighting speeds, which ended with a best guess. A Phd is a doctor of philosophy, not of science. As we humans progress in age, we acquire experiences. Some of us old guys develop good "gut" feelings. Personally, I often just kick it, and merely watch the gold ticker, and at some point, something deep down, say it will go up or it will down. Just yesterday, I was watching the ticker, for example, as the price of gold cycled up and down for a couple of hours within a range, a few bucks each way. So is gold range bound, as called by most in the market? I noticed that the volume kept increasing as the price of gold went lower from about 25% off the high in the range and dried up after gold came off the low, as if volume was precisely technically phase shifted in time relative to price, as the volume peaks just before the bottom was in, in each cycle in the range. I stepped back and recognized this recurrent behavior, and came to the conclusion, that their were tons of buyers coming out of the wood work each time the price softened just a little, a mere three bucks. This observation was non-technical art form, I simply inferred, that is guessed, that buyers are presence for duty in droves, and then came to the conclusion, the correction will be very short lived. There was no science here, just observations, and then making the call, the gut feeling, as the art form. Personally, with engineering and law formal schooling, and 35 years of professional employment, and a continuous child-like curiosity into all things, including sciences, politics, physical and cultural anthropology, cultural evolution, history, military arts, psychology, inter alia, I believe I have accumulated much knowledge over the last half century. But most importantly, I believe I have developed that "sixth sense", the gut feel, in some ways, that is on more than off. The gut feel does not come out of a vacuum, but rather, it is a coupling of extensive education and experiences across a variety of disciplines. In engineering, I would create out of thin air electrical systems, and, in the law I would create arguments out of thin air, as my mind has worked for 35 year creating out of thin air, which is a practice of mental flexibility necessary for good "gut" calls. From the technical perspective, the dollar is going down based upon "perceptions" of inflation, unregulated counterparty risks are ramped throwing "fear" into all markets, decreasing commodities per capita continues declining about the globe as unfortunate people starve to death and in "panic" eat their seed stocks, as other panic in the pits buying it all up, yet others in a gold rush, pile in, in a rush, in a fanatical burst of "greed", or, "panic" sell for "self-preservation" unnecessarily selling at the bottom of a market correction, to even bailing out of a high rise when they lost their shirts in "despair". The world of gold is not for the faint of heart. Our lives are full of perceptions, risks, greed, panic, and despair which are extreme market drivers. But how are these human emotions qunatized by a precise calculus into solid predictions of future gold price action? There are not. The technical sciences are great, but only the a first step in developing a good gut feel and a comprehensive view. How does one really get that gut feel? Well, you get through years of mental flexibility, education, and experiences, in both the arts and sciences, and as you do, your calls becomes more accurate. My impression is that Mr. Sinclair understands in detail the interworkings of the financial and commodities markets, yet, to my surprise, he also focuses allot on geopolitical troubles, as well as government interventions feeding the bleeding hearts, bailing out the bankster, while noticing the fear of a financial collapse, while observing government reactions. Mr. Sinclair mixes, on a daily basis, political propensities, geopolitical events, with a knowledge of human emotions as they have affected prices, which are not normally subject to technical analysis, a science, yet, are indispensable factors to the comprehensive view and a good "gut call". So, Mr. Sinclair has demonstrated a clear knowledge of the technical sciences in the markets, but also has a life time of professional experiences, and has incorporated into his thinking human nature and the human experience, to arrive at his gut call conclusions. Very few among us, have this tri-focused education, experience, and human cultural awareness, for the comprehensive understanding, as does he. Based upon the complete picture, Mr. Sinclair "makes the gut call", and so far, he is has been right on the money, and you cant beat that, yet he does not prove his calls using an exact calculus, that would necessarily fail anyway. Personally, I have been repeatedly insulted, ridiculed, lambasted, shunned, and avoided, for doing exactly the same thing, putting the world TA and the non-technical aspects of human culture together in arriving at a novel view of world, that no one before me has, to my knowledge, and I to have predicted world events going out some 50 years hence, defining man's course, and why, and it is based upon a life of education, experiences, and creating thinking, incorporating both the technical science and the human analysis art form. I view Mr. Sinclair, as well as Midas, in a like manner. Mr. Sinclair is shunned by some, as a "TWIT". Midas cant get the Cartel's action in public view. Name calling is of course the immature response of choice by the uninformed, confused, irrational, and coolaide drinkers. That unkind of comment about Mr. Sinclairs sound very familiar to me. I know it well. I know exactly the type from which it comes. Mr. Sinclair does in deed discuss many aspects of the human experience, and of course, including the technical science aspect of it. I am equally sure Midas does not agree, as do most in the café, with my vision of the world, yet Midas has that mind of the curious child and is not afraid to engage others' perspectives. It is an inherent part of the curious mind, to accumulate vast knowledge, skills, and eventual understanding, to the extent practicable over an entire life time. As we age, our ability to comprehensively integrate many perspective serves the overall understanding for making the best predictions possible. I have a great deal of faith in Mr. Sinclair's gut calls, though I wont slaughter a lamb and I do disagree with some of his geopolitical prognostications. Mr. Sinclair is right on with his calls because, he does have 1) that education, 2) that life of creative thinking, 3) that life of professional experiences, and 4) most importantly, because he also collaterally focuses upon human nature, what makes people tic, and thereby, completes the mix of necessary inputs to arrive at the best credible projection possible, which can not, and never will be proven up front by any calculus. The conclusion reached, is a sound one, just have faith baby! I would and have in large measure put my bet on gold, during years of reviewing Mr. Sincliar and Midas. I absolutely believe in Mr. Sinclair's call that Gold is going to 1650, though I think Midas' projection of 3-5K will be much closer to a near term peak of the current bull. This is why Midas is also in that camp of those great thinkers. He played ball, so, he huddled with the boys, and he should know human beings well. He is apparently a sociable person, has friends, and seems like a people person. He is educated and experienced in commodities trading. He is old enough to have that life time of education and experiences in both the TA science and of human kind, the art form, to put it all together, to come up with a credible projection that necessarily mixes science and art. Jim says 1650, I say 2750, Midas says 3000 for the price of gold as a near term peak. Take your pick. But I bet we all three jumped in big time at the bottom in 2000. Serious money should only bet on a horse having the full compliment of skills, including TA, a life time of professional education and experiences, and that indispensable insight into human nature, as big money is made in the golden arts. Derrick ================= What is so so good about what is happening china, is not that their are demonstration in Tibet, or screeching form Taipai, or US and allied concerns about free religion and press, but rather, the continuousness of it all, and over time, china will move slowly toward freedom and democracy. and that's the GUT CALL! No precise calculus, no technical analysis, no differential equation modeling of human cultural evolution, just simply, the GUT CALL, and they are 80% correct over time, which aint to bad. Where's the peptal pismal, anyway? ------------- Driving home from work yesterday, by the 405 LA, I saw a huge billboard with the Dally Lama on it, the key note word HOPE. Yeah baby, always hope that all of God's children, will be, FREE AT LAST, FREE AT LAST, praise God Almighty, ALL OF MANKIND will be free at last. =================== WE ARE IN DEEP TROUBLE, SHE IS OUT OF HER MIND. Windfall Tax on Retirement Income Hold on to your pocketbooks!! Anyone who understands a fiat monetary system, our system, knows that most retirement funds lose real value and are not exactly what a person hopes for at the end of their work life. Some are, and those typically go to people in the public sector. We contribute greatly to those through a myriad of taxes. Adding a tax to your retirement is simply another way of saying to the American people, you're so stupid that we're going to keep doing this until we drain every cent from you. That's what the Speaker of the House is saying. Read below............... Nancy Pelosi wants a Windfall Tax on Retirement Income. This woman is a nut case! You aren't going to believe this. Madam speaker Nancy Pelosi wants to put a Windfall Tax on all stock market profits (including Retirement fund, 401Ks and Mutual Funds! Alas, it is true - all to help the 12 Million Illegal Immigrants and other unemployed Minorities! Boy, are we in trouble... This woman is frightening. She quotes...." We need to work toward the goal of equalizing income in our country and at the same time limiting the amount the rich can invest." When asked how these new tax dollars would be spent, Peelousy replied : "We need to raise the standard of living of our poor, unemployed and minorities. For example, we have an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in our country who need our help along with millions of unemployed minorities. Stock market windfall profits taxes could go a long ways to guarantee these people the standard of living they would like to have as 'Americans'." This lady is out of her mind. This woman apparently wants to further enslave tax payers, so that CRIMINAL ILLEGAL WET BACKS and their liberal allies can capture the UNAMERICAN mexican vote. It cant get more disgusting than that, well waite a minute, has McCain as yet come out and said HE would shut down the border? I dont think so. Well there ya go, panderers left and right. Unbelievable. Shut down the border is the quickest sure bet to raise the wages for the working poor. The memos here were previously posted elsewhere, and will place new memo here as a collective archieve. ===================== Le Patron, Easy as Pie The GOLD CARTEL and their allied silver price managers have really kicked the PM sector, time and time again, and at times have their way with things, driving down bullion prices to give the appearance of strong fiat paper money, the illusion persists. And yet again, as now, the GOLD CARTEL attempts to cap the rate of increases in bullion prices so as not to scare the sheeple and to pretend that all is fine with fiat paper money, perfected through their surreptitious bullion bank gold sales, swaps, loans for short selling, with their manipulative concentrated short futures positions, and with their naked short share selling. Sure, its unfair, its un-American, its anti-competitive, and it is inherently duplicitous. But that is not the point, we have accepted it as the status quo. Any of you gold bugs mad? Any of you silver bugs upset? Come on, do tell us all how really mad you are. Are you hot as hell? Are you willing to grab a gun, and go hunting for the perpetrators, and defend your rights in the AMERICAN TRADITION? Well, 90 millions of us Americans have guns, yet not a shot has been fired in anger against the perpetrators of the gold suppression scheme, destroying our REAL CONSTITUTIONAL MONEY. Where are the good old vigilantes when you really need them? Well you gold bugs, may be upset, and may be armed, but I don’t think any of you have the guts to show your disgust through targeted violence against the GOLD CARTEL for their market manipulation. Most bugs, just kick it, and hope Midas, GATA, et al, will win the day to defeat the GOLD CARTEL with mere words. Sticks and stones, they say in reply. I call all that being really a bunch of gold pussies, relying on others to correct the wrong. And you bugs, you all can count me in on that characterization, as I will not, under any circumstance, encourage or call for out right REVOLT or REBELLION against any government or their enablers, or any of the banksters, who really should be hung high in the public square. Nope, not for mere money or profits will I call for armed riots, revolt, or rebellion of any kind. The GOLD CAREL, the OIL CARTEL, the SILVER PRICE MANAGERS, they all do it, manipulate markets, and yeah, we know all about that, and we just live with it, don’t we? What a bunch of pussies, me included! Today there is a new critical action on the commodities scene that is deadly serious, and must be taken very seriously, and must be resolved without any further delay, like right now! There is a new group of monsters on the manipulation scene, but this lot has a very different agenda, they want to hedge fund food prices into the stratosphere to make riches, not based upon supply and demand, but merely upon hedge fund made price momentum, and in so doing, starve people to death, while riches are made. Ain't that nice. The villainy of the Gold Cartel gold price suppression pales in comparison to those who would seek to profit through the starving of fellow human beings. It cant get any sicker than that as a way to make a buck. But one thing is sure, you starve me or my family, and I would be locked and loaded at the nearest food store in a single stomach growl. What is the result of food price speculation? Well, Haiti is up in flames, riots are breaking out in Bangladesh, rice producers around the world are now hoarding food stocks, and more people than normal are starving and will increasingly starve, to death. The black flag of the hedge fund managers indicates that they will take no prisoners, its all about profits. This is not some white collar crime, but mass murder on a global scale giving rise to a global militancy that will have more of an affect on the price of gold than a 1000 GATA conferences. These starving people are not like us Americans, who just sit back and take it, as those being starved really have no other choice but to revolt. Starvation is a tremendous motivator, even to violence, if necessary, and if these world food prices don’t come down, come down big, and soon, the starving masses may just do the deed for us gold bugs. Oil is going up, as are base metals, and as are food stores. But, you cant eat oil, nor base metals, nor bullion for that matter, but you must eat food to survive. This global food crises, while pathetically hurting the most vulnerable, will be a god-send to us gold and silver bugs and real money believers. It may just be that catalyst that returns the world to real money ahead of schedule. There is NO STOPPING the ramp up in food prices, as food prices will follow the oil price hikes, and commodities in general, and will run wild, especially now with the dog-pile mentality of the hedge fund momentum players on the heels of massive liquidity pumping over the last year, that takes time to affect increased inflationary expectations. The stage for a global disaster could not have been set up more perfectly, by the banksters, manipulators, and momentum players. With the late 07 and early 08 pumping of mass liquidity into the economies around the world, food price hikes have just begun in earnest. The resulting food hoarding is going to get really nasty and really fast around the world. Food prices are high, going much higher, and the world will be thrown, very shortly, into massive global riots, revolts, and rebellions, unless, of course, the world governments act, act seamlessly, collectively, and cohesively, and quickly. Time is of the essence. But how will they act together? The concentrated COT interest is the easiest target for governments, to perfect a sudden change in speculative prices. It all depends on the motivation to act, and riots, revolts and rebellions tend to get the attention of office holders to move them off their collective butts and do something to fix it. With food prices soaring, with riots now, and revolts just around the corner, governments may act to intervene, and limit futures speculation. Long and short future positions may be limited in quantity per entity, to stop the surging speculative price action in food stores. But this measure should not be specifically targeted to only food stores, as there are laws against commercial discrimination, targeting one group but not another. GATA should remain circumspective and vigilant to point out any unfair discrimination across the entire commodities futures markets. The UN and member countries have a vast array of interests, and any global solution would not be only food specific targeting, as all commodities would be up for censure. Hence, any solution would be UN based and comprehensive across the commodities complex. If you seek to curb long and short speculation and concentrated positions, under the US Constitution, if that document has any more respect these days, the curb must be applied across the board to all commodities, and that includes oil, gas, coal, base metals, food stuff, and of course, and here is the kicker, the precious metals complex. Governments will have to act, and act fast now, to stem the rising food riots and pending revolts. The only quick fix is to limit futures trading, and that may mean limiting the number of futures contracts per entity, or something of that kind. If such futures curbs are put into place to stop the speculation in food store, the futures curbs should be lawfully applied across the board. As such, these global food riots will force immediate action by governments world wide, which will collectively act to curb futures speculations, which in turn will dismantle the obscene massive manipulative short positions in the precious metal complex, and KABOOOM, the Dollar Index to 0.25, the UN begins treaty talks on abolishing fiat money world wide, and the world sits on the edge of a conversion to a global real money economy. If that occurs, the Gold Cartel is doomed, the suppression game is up, the whole global fiat money complex collapses, and $5000/oz gold by November 08 will be a piece of cake, and then, returning the world markets to a real money gold and silver global economy, will be, as easy as pie. Derrick ======== my pleasure with kisses CIGA, and, CAN YOU BELIEVE TANKING PMs this morn, with global food riots, MAKES NO COMMON SENSE, makes plenty of GATA sense. --------- From the blogasphere, and mikie likes it: --------------- What makes this most recent rigged sell-off in silver particularly offensive is that it has occurred smack dab in the middle of the first documented shortage of retail investment silver in history. This unprecedented retail tightness has been accompanied by the first sell-out, due to overwhelming investment demand, of Silver Eagles by the US Mint. This is a first in the 22-year history of the American Eagle bullion coin program. -It has also been reported that the Royal Mint of Canada has run out of Silver Maple Leaf coins, due to unexpected demand. Shortages of coins and bars are widely reported by retailers of silver. A record demand, with no increase in supply and a sharp price sell-off? Your head should be spinning. That cannot occur in a free market. It can only occur in a rigged or manipulated market. This is clearly a case of the COMEX futures markets dictating and setting the price to the cash market, s blatant a violation of basic commodity law. Commodity law is clear. That the regulators at the CFTC and the CME- NYMEX allow this to continue is the greatest regulatory failure in financial history, exceeding even the mortgage debacle. There's a clear divergence between the paper and physical silver markets. This is something so basic that there is no excuse for the regulators not seeing it or moving against the manipulators, especially when it is explained repeatedly to them. ================ Thank you for sharing your thesis about the present global economic crisis and where it may lead us. Wow! A very powerfully written commentary and a wake up call for many passive cafe members, myself included. Thank you for connecting the dots in my mind between the monetary inflation, energy and food price inflation, food riots, **political action to reform the futures markets to curb speculator excesses**, US dollar collapse, and a precious metals price explosion sooner rather than later. You are the first person that I've read to specifically highlight the possibility of **global food riots leading to political action to reform the futures market to remove speculator excesses**. As you point out, **if ALL futures speculation is limited (including the precious metals complex), then any such reforms would be VERY beneficial to gold bugs**. A great insight, thanks. ================= Thank you of course, but notice that midas did not post this "powerful comentary" today. Why, because my name "Derrick" is on it. The mere sight of my name is apparently objectionable to some. Notice that there is only one, this one, thread initiated by me in here in gold and silver. The cafe has been intolerant to my novel political views, complaining regularly to Midas for banishment, and openingly hostile to my political opinions and reasoning, such that the Le Patron memos will probably not appear again in the Midas appendix, as they once were. Nor will my memo appear on the table top le menu. Midas has posted about 10 memo on Le Menu and probably about 60 in the appendix over the last three years. War Money and Politics are intermix that discussions must incluce all three to cover a topic, and is the inherent problem where gold bugs are of different political orientations. I reflect back to Jan 06, and still can not believe the 100:1 DOG PILE then, it was wild, and I am not one to just roll over when brutally insulted in public in print even at 100:1. Midas' decision not to post my memo in the appendix or on Le Menu, is fine with me, I suppose, though I have and do get a kick out of creating and sharing these novel missives, but some may now miss these "powerful commentary", as a chilling effect, and consequently, I have not been writing as much. I do fine it enjoyable, so that is regretable, at least to me. Maybe in August I will start a sign off thread, OMG HE'S GONE, as fitting conclusion to the August 07 prolog thread OMG HE"S BACK. If that be case, I will always remember your kind words, this day, "you are the first", and I also am the only one who has proposed such a novel comprehesive view of the world, in that long off topic thread. That's call creativity, and glad there was some recongnition of its novelty, as well. There of course have been many others Le Patron memo, A billion dollar an once, an act of congress, inter alia, that I also slapped myself on the back, as no one else would, or at least rarely would in the long shadows of mindless condemnation that is really based upon the opposing political views. I do enjoy thinking things through, and spouting off differing views. However, it can and did get very cold in here, ice cold, if you dont tow the party line, "they're all crooks". Now, there is hardly a few in here actively contributing, traffic is way down, no doubt out of PMs, losing heart, or just rubbing sticks together trying to warm up. I know of only one, Dave B, the USSA guy, who left because of my presence per se. So dont lay PM correction and low traffic on me. If anyone really believe I am THE cause of such low traffic, I would be most interested in that assessment. But thanks for the warm hearted response, that was nice. Otherwise, I suppose fish swim just fine in water covered with ice. --------------- Obama's denouciation of Rev Wrigh this day, move up Obama stature in my view, ONE HUGE STEP UP. ------------- Sun, 27 Apr 2008 14:18:08 -0700 (PDT) From: "Derrick Michael Reid" President GW BUSH, HERO BUSH!!!! my beloved president. Modernly man is sucking up Carbon from below ground, which took millions of years to produce. GOD, in his infinite wisdom buried this treasured for the arrival of man, in his many blessings and unending mercy to men of his fold. As we seek this treasure and burn it, CO2 is released. This is a potential problem for greenhouse gases. YOU ALL WITH ME SO FAR? The earth is a marvelous feedback control system. Despite plate tectonics and asteroids, Earth is the all time come back kid supporting life. But here is a new twist, MAN was given a brain by the all mighty to build, and built we have. There are 6B people on the earth, and for the last 250K years, we homosapiens have been building, and have been burning as well. The earth is capable of storing CO2 in trees and oceans about the world, the amazon being the lungs of the earth, for example. For man span on earth, there has been a feed-back control system that has maintain life through the burial of CO2, and the storage in green life of all sort. But MAN is pulling out the CO2 energy sources and changing the atmospheric balance. Yet, C02 can be sucked up by plants and living creatures in our modern times. That has been going on for 5B years, the feed-back control. Yet, now, Man has mastered fire, can burn CO2 producing fuels, but more importantly, man is a thinker, a builder, a fire master, a driller, a marvel of God's creations. So where is the feed-back control, that is the store, to that new source of air pollution coming from burning buried CO2 in the form of COAL, OIL, and GAS, which will save us from destroying this earth, as self interests and self preservation necessarily leads to increased fuel burning and increased production of greenhouse gases? The answer is: (drum roll here **********************) IN OUR HOUSES, IN OUR BUILDING, IN OUR STRUCTURES OF ALL KINDS. We use our brains to drill, burn, and build. What we are witnessing today, is not the mass expulsion of buried CO2 into air, but the mass translations of store energy from buried below ground to human built structures. We are merely translating the buried treasure of energy from energy sources, to gas, to trees, to building. Get it? Here is the feed-back control loop. produce more buried energy supplies, produce more green house gases, grow trees faster with more CO2 and rain and warmth, cut trees in a culling crop to preserve Forrest yet take an annual supply, build houses with the wood, and permanently store the CO2 in a man-made global world. So, the trick is not to focus on long term possibilities of warming, but to act with intelligents. Consider: 1) Encourage Wood building or making of permanent structure built from C based structures. 2) limit rate of increase of OIL GAS and COAL production 3) limit rate of de-forestation 4) enact laws, for each tree cut, three must be planted 5) DO NOT SUBSIDIZE energy production and let the market do its thing with higher energy prices to encourage the development of efficient and renewable energy sources. 6) enact laws with massive tax breaks and other encouragements for all non-CO2 based energy production companies for solar, wind, hydro, nuclear, etc. 7) RETRACT THE NOBLE PRIZE and stop the whining, but do something intelligent about it, beside proposing we go back to cave man days!! and lastly, BLOCKADE THE **** OUT OF IRAN!! MAKE THEM HEEL or TAKE EM OUT, WITH STAND-OFF capabilities. They are killing our boys, and mine is at risk in Iraq, as they are spreading terror and developing nuclear weapons, and its all got to stop now. Is hero Bush a chicken? Or a Gunslinger? WHEN IN COMMAND LEAD!!! I think, after the election, a thanksgiving blockade would be so timely!!!!! DO IT NOW, and stop all nuclear development there, except as SUPERVISED by the RUSSIANS (they want the biz!!!!). Yours truly Derrick PS happy Easter. ============ cafe: God also gave us GOLD to keep money honest so that man could seek and share the blessings with all. ------------- 3000 new jr mine companies, in a credit squeeze, in a gold silver correction, hhhmmm, shares are soft -------------- Speaking of novel theories, has any ever suggested enacting laws to encourage increased storing of Carbon based materials in man-built structures as a way to store greenhouse gases from burning foscil fuels? donno ---------- Le Patron, The Rebel Yell There was an interesting link in the Midas appendix this day, at lemetropolecafe, regarding "the new world order". http://www.wtv-zone.com/Mary/THENEWWORLDORDER.HTML But what is, the precise definition of a new world order? It was not to precisely defined in that link, just several vague quotes were presented. However, there many good quotes that offered suggestions in that well done piece. Some quotes suggested rule by a world government, the UN, I suppose was meant. Some quotes suggested a "global parliament", a ruling body of sorts, with the US giving up its sovereignty. This struck me, being a civil war buff. To me, this dove tails into the classic American confrontation, "The war between the states", the contest between the plenary power of the centralized government versus individual distinct states' rights. The southern rebellion in the US was predicated on the belief that the US constitution implicitly gave a state a right at any time to opt out of the union. The idea being, that they would not have entered it if they could not opt out. The new world order, then, in 1860, in north america, was the US government, and the southern states wanted to opt out, mostly to maintain their slave-plantations culture, without interference from the northern abolitionists. However, such opting out, would, over time, destroy this country, and hence, cry of "UNION" was the first "noble" cause of that war. Of course, President Lincoln emancipated the slaves (well not really, he only freed slaves in rebel held territory as a war measure under executive powers, where the US had no control, and did not free one slave, but that was enough to get the freedom train rolling, and slavery was eventually outlawed), as a secondary reason for that war, giving that war a more "nobler" purpose, but in the end, the war was a war of the suppression of a rebellion from that "new world order", as in the context of the US as a whole, as envisioned by the founding fathers, so nobly worshiped in that Midas Appendix link. It is ironic, of course, that that piece, which slams suggestions of a NEW WORLD ORDER, based upon love of the founding fathers, yet it was the founding fathers that did exactly the same in north America, which creation of a new world order, is now being derided in that Midas Appendix link, by the creating of a word-wide "new world order", in the global context. Lets now expand US founding-father experimental concepts to the so-called "NEW WORLD ORDER" occurring, allegedly on the global scene world wide. First of all, I will distinguish here three themes, 1) the New World Order, 2) PNAC, the project for the American Century, and 3) The Global Confluence. (See thread entitled "china transforms north korea" for a full understanding of one interpretation of the Global Confluence, by your truly, as posted at lemetropolecafe). Regardless of how others interpret or explain these things, as I am no expert on any one of them, I will use my own parlance and explain these three things in my own way. The base proposition is that freedom is based upon the "high-five", GOD GUNS GOLD LAND VOTE. What this really is, is a short encapsulation of the bill of rights, freedom of religion (to think and believe as I choose), right to bare arms (to prevent government from enslaving me and providing me the right of self defense), the right to property (and keep the rewards of my own work, and, capitalism to enjoy the fruits of my own labor, and, not to rely upon the hard work of others in life long and spiritually corrupting socialism, and, the right to hold constitutional real money to keep money honest and free from manipulative bankers and federal governments' destructive manipulations of moneys and economies) and democracy (to provide the government with the collective wisdom of the people as the best course of conduct, with majority rule as a core of personal freedom and rights of expressions). As an American, these freedoms are the key to long term civility among peoples, and is based upon the high five. These things must be preserved, or we all are, or will be soon, enslaved, one way or the other. As far as an "American Century" project is concerned, the propagation of the high-five rights around the world, is a good thing. If the PNAC groupies seek to promote these freedoms around the world, I am for it, otherwise, forget it. What the PNAC groupies miss is that, long term change for the better occurs from within, not from without, and hence, forcing people to adopt American Culture is more difficult and will have less affect, than if such people are lead to understand the benefits of the American Culture, the high-five. Hence, the PNAC groupies may be counter-productive to the very things they themselves desire. The Global Confluence is a passively driven global movement toward international civility through the adoption of similar cultural values, whereas PNAC seems to be a down-your-throat means of perfecting the same. To the PNAC groupies, I would say, chill out, and let the global confluence takes it course in due time. Notwithstanding, however, the majority rule aspect of a democracy, is the key to understanding the 1860s US civil war, and the inherent problems perceived in the purported up and coming "NEW WORLD ORDER". As to the GLOBAL CONFLUENCE, that is naturally occurring and is passively driven human cultural evolution, it is realized as a convergence of separate and distinct national states, changing from within, or causing a change within by activating external pressures due to internal conduct, (such as now with Iran, which is going to get rattled from within, by external military might, for their internal decisions to spread islamo fascist terrorism and the proliferation nuclear arms), and is motivated within, and due to, the human cultural drivers, of desires for freedom (democracy) and survival (capitalism) and spirituality (freedom to worship your own god as you desire). As such, the American Century, the New World Order, and the Global Confluence are three different perspectives of our changing world, with inter-relationships, in an on going every changing world. The Global confluence is a natural PNAC occurrence, so the new world order is viewed with respect to the global confluence. So, the issue of focus is the distinction between a global new world order (the UNION forces), and the individual rights of states, (the REBEL forces), as the classical confrontation, in the context of the human cultural evolution driving the global confluence. The US so far, has done very well not to submit to the depravities of UN governance, dominated, or perhaps better characterized as, infected by, totalitarians, dictators, socialists, crooks, and islamo fascists, among other hideous and insidious influences, through the use of the security counsel VETO power. We, us Americans, are still to this day an independent state and people, but look out for the slippery slope into a global government that may seek to deprive us of our high-five rights. The world today is not like our 18th century USA, where, by and large, only two "states", both north and south held many common values, save one, slavery, but that was of some common value when this nation was first founded. We paid for our original sin in blood, for that one. This is reflected in this world today. For example, the Chinese government would shoot dead their young in a heart beat for mere political expression. When will the Chinese people have enough of that, and revolt? I think, as part of the confluence, we are seeing it right now, this day. I certainly, don’t want to be dominated by that totalitarian state, nor forced to praise Allah, to save my throat from being slit. If on the other hand, the new world government, the UN, and our global people mature, and the UN issues a bill of "national rights", guarantying each state those "high-five" rights, well a UN global governance of increased powers, may not be so objectionable, if the world is all on the same team, defining states' rights, and having basically the same high-five culture, but, of course, the world is not in that state, just yet, and so, we Americans must be on guard to prevent the creep of UN governance over our lives, until such time, as the global confluence has worked its global magic and has migrated world cultures into the "American" high five culture, which is really, a universal culture of rights, and until then, forget the new world order, and give the UN, the rebel yell. Derrick ========== has anyone ever heard of an analogy between the new world order and the American 1860s civil war? As Midas once said, derrick is one unusual cat. I hope some enjoy it, I REALLY did enjoy writing it! =============== Au hit 862 this day, hmmm, many, I mean many, have called for a test of 850 (the old all time high 1980), to set the stage for a massive leg up (1200-1500), when the correction started. I was skeptical, and wrong, not thinking Au would correct THAT MUCH over this extended amount of time, but we are nearly there. Couple that with some respected anlysts calling for a first-week-of-May bottom, and it seems the stars align?, but going into the summer soft season. Yeah, could be a bottom, could be a retest, but the leg up, is probably a fall event, given gold's cyclical nature. Could be a very very slow climb back to all time high by olypic time, and then, HUZZAH! ==================== It was asked on the blogs: What if the fed leans toward tightening? after all, did the stimulus go anywhere besides gas prices and oil speculation? My response: In October 1861, four confederate generals, Jackson HR, Loring WW, Wise H, Floyd J, and all had small amries in WV, and RE LEE promoted to full general **** was sent there to cordinate and retrieve WV from the yankees, as McClelland's skillful combinations invaded and captured pro-union WV. Wise was the character, ex-VA governor, and an untrained army officer of VA volunteers, commanding Wise's Legion, where a legion then was a mixed dragoon styled brigade of artillery, infantry and calvary. One day, near Carnifax Ferry, Gauley Brige, Wise wanted his artillery officer to fire into a stand of trees. The artillery officer complained, I can see no enemy, I can see nothing to shoot at, it is a waste time, I have nothing to execute upon. Wise responded, "d*mn the execution, sir, its the sound we want" to give the appearnce of a very strong army. WV was never recovered by the rebels, and "evacuating" "granny" RE Lee, was deemed a failure and sent to the SC coast. The present rate drop, 0.25, is not for achieving any real affect, but only the perceived expections of future growth, they want, to prop the DOW, here and now, in futherence of reagan's proclamation to manage markets to prevent an 1987 style sell off. PLUNGE PROTECTION is what we are getting here, however, with increased present expections of increased inflation. ==========malarkey, the more I see it for it is, the less I like it. Could you imagine: Only taxes you pay are sales tax, so you can buy and forget it. NO IRS audits, (there is your US terrorism folks) No over hanging BIG GOV, watching your every penny. NO IRS at all, NO FED screwing around with your money and manipulating our markets. The use of "you bet" real money, always assured Americans of it is and its value. Ah, the simple free life 1790-1863, (well at least for most), will it ever return to the good o USA? Blacks were freed from one enslavement to another, no wonder Rev White is angry. I am too. We probably will not see such freedom in my remaining years, but I hope you are young enough to see it, 2035, and will be free at last, free at last, praise God Almighty, we all will be free at last, when the fiat crap is outlawed. ========== 62 million shares shorted in CDE, whats that, 25% all shares outstanding? Absolutely criminal, yet, not a thing is done, not even by CDE itself. -----------===
